2012–13 Figure Skating Season
The 2012–13 figure skating season began on July 1, 2012, and ended on June 30, 2013. During this season, elite skaters from men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance competed on the International Skating Union (ISU) Championship level at the 2013 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. They also competed in elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final. Season notes The 2012–2013 pattern dance in the short dance was the Yankee Polka on the senior level and Blues on the junior level. The 2011–2012 figure skating season began on July 1, 2011, and ends on June 30, 2012. Adam Rippon
Adam Richard Rippon (born November 11, 1989) is an American figure skater. He won the 2010 Four Continents Championships and the 2016 U.S. National Championships. Earlier in his career, he won the 2008 and 2009 World Junior Championships, the 2007–2008 Junior Grand Prix Final, and the 2008 U.S junior national title. Rippon was selected to represent the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, Rippon won a bronze medal as part of the figure skating team event. Later that year, he won season 26 of ''Dancing with the Stars'' with professional dancer Jenna Johnson. Rippon announced his retirement from competitive figure skating in November 2018. Dmitri Kiselev
Dmitri Sergeyevich Kiselev (russian: Дмитрий Серге́евич Киселёв, born 10 August 1989) is a Russian ice dancer. Competing with Ekaterina Pushkash for Russia, he placed 6th at the 2009 World Junior Championships. He later competed with Gabriela Kubová for the Czech Republic, placing 18th at the 2012 European Championships. Career In 2000, Kiselev teamed up with his maternal first cousin, Ekaterina Pushkash. They moved from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow for training in 2002. Pushkash/Kiselev won silver medals at the 2008–2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix event in Gomel, Belarus and at the 2009 Russian Junior Championships. Gabriela Kubová (born 9 May 1993) is a Czech ice dancer who competes with Matěj Novák. With former partner Dmitri Kiselev, she is the 2012 Czech national champion. Alexis Miart (born 20 February 1992) is a French former ice dancer. With former partner Tiffany Zahorski, he placed 4th at the 2011 World Junior Championships. Personal life Miart was born in L'isle-Adam, Paris, France. He has two older brothers. He currently lives and trains in Lyon. Career Early career Miart started skating at the age of 8. He came to figure skating by mistake, when he thought he'd been invited to attend an ice hockey lesson. Miart began in single skating, training alongside Florent Amodio, at the Cergy rink, just outside Paris. Tiffany Anastasia Zahorski (russian: Тиффани Анастасия Загорски; born 16 August 1994) is an English-Russian ice dancer. Competing with Jonathan Guerreiro for Russia, she is the 2018 NHK Trophy silver medalist, the 2018 Skate America bronze medalist, and a three-time Russian national medalist (2021 silver; 2018, 2020 bronze). Rockne Lee Brubaker, II (born June 21, 1986) is an American former competitive pair skater. With Keauna McLaughlin, he is the 2010 Four Continents silver medalist, the 2007 World Junior champion, and a two-time (2008–2009) U.S. national champion. Mary Beth Marley (born May 19, 1995) is an American pair skater. With former partner Rockne Brubaker, she is the 2012 Four Continents bronze medalist and 2012 U.S. silver medalist. Previously, Marley competed in single skating and became the 2009 U.S. novice silver medalist. Career Singles career Marley won the novice silver medal at the 2009 U.S. Championships. She was 5th on the junior level in 2011. Partnership with Brubaker Marley and Brubaker teamed up after a two-day tryout in August 2010. 2012 Finlandia Trophy
The 2012 Finlandia Trophy was an international figure skating competition in the 2012–13 season. The 17th edition of the annual event was held on October 5–7, 2012 at the Barona Arena in Espoo. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, ice dancing, and synchronized skating on the senior level. Competitors The initial entries were: Overview Spain's Javier Fernández won the men's short program ahead of Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu and the United States' Richard Dornbush. Hanyu placed first in the free program and won the title while Dornbush moved up to take the silver and Fernandez slipped to third.
