2012–13 Regional Four Day Competition
The 2012–13 Regional Four Day Competition was the 47th domestic First-class cricket, first-class cricket tournament held in the West Indies cricket team, West Indies. It will take place from 9 February 2013 – 7 May 2013. The seven teams based in the Caribbean competed in a round-robin tournament followed by semi-finals involving the top four teams and a final match between the winners of the semi-finals. There was no touring team competing this edition of the tournament. West Indies Cricket Board
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly Commonwealth Caribbean, English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. Antigua
Antigua ( ; ), also known as Waladli or Wadadli by the local population, is an island in the Lesser Antilles. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium
Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is a stadium in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda. It was built for use in the 2007 Cricket World Cup where it hosted Super 8 matches. The stadium usually caters for 10,000 people, but temporary seating doubled its capacity for the 2007 World Cup. The stadium is named after former West Indies cricket captain Viv Richards. Location The stadium is about 10–20 minutes' drive from the capital city, St. John's, and the country's international airport. The venue cost approximately US$60 million to build, with the majority of the funds coming from a Chinese Government grant. Anthony Martin (born 18 November 1982, Bethesda, Antigua and Barbuda on the island of Antigua) is a West Indian cricketer. He has been an impressive first-class cricketer, and has represented the West Indies national cricket team in One Day International matches. He had been a fast bowler in his Under-15 days, but he injured his back in an accident and he could not bowl fast any more. He reverted to offspin but his Under-19 coach said he had to change his style due to their already having two established offspinners. He therefore changed to legspin. Leon Rayon Johnson (born 8 August 1987), is a Guyanese born cricketer who plays as a right handed middle order batsman. Jahmar Neville Hamilton (born 22 September 1990) is an Anguillan cricketer. He plays as wicket-keeper and is part of the Leeward Islands cricket team. Steven Anthony Jacobs (born 13 September 1988) is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for the Guyanese national side in West Indian domestic cricket, as well as representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors franchise in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Veerasammy Permaul (born 11 August 1989) is a Guyanese professional cricketer. He's featured as a left arm orthodox spinner for both Guyana and the West Indies cricket team. Tonito Akanni Willett (born 6 February 1983) is a West Indian cricketer who played for the Leeward Islands. He is the son of Elquemedo Willett, brother of Akito Willett and the cousin of Stuart Williams. He is a right handed batsman and bowls at a right-arm medium pace.
