2012–13 Ranji Trophy
The 2012–13 Ranji Trophy was the 79th season of the Ranji Trophy. It was contested by 27 teams divided into three groups of nine teams each. The top three teams from Groups A and B proceeded to the quarterfinals along with the top two teams from Group C. Mumbai won this year's trophy for the 40th time by beating Saurashtra in the final at the Wankhede. The season had a different grouping system compared to that of the previous seasons, which had Elite and Plate divisions. The new system also increased the number of matches of the tournament. The points awarded to outright wins were increased from five to six in order to encourage results. The knock-out matches will be played across five days instead of four. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Team
The Himachal Pradesh cricket team is an Indian cricket team based in Himachal Pradesh. It has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season. They have won their first domestic trophy, by winning the 2021–22 edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing history Himachal Pradesh lost all five of their matches in both 1985–86 and 1987–88 seasons by an innings. They won for the first time when they beat Services by one wicket in 1990–91. Goa Cricket Team
The Goa cricket team is first-class cricket team based in Goa, India, has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season. Playing history Goa lost all five matches in their first season, and did not win until 1996–97, in their 56th match, when they defeated Karnataka by an innings. Goa's best ever performance came in the 2013–14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where they finished 3rd. They missed out on the finals due to Net Run Rate. Goa fell short by roughly two balls. The Assam cricket team is a domestic cricket team represents the Indian state of Assam, run by the Assam Cricket Association. The Andhra cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team representing the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh cricket team, formerly United Provinces Cricket Team, is a domestic cricket team which is based in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, run by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association.
