Melbourne Heart FC
Melbourne City Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in the south–eastern Melbourne suburb of Cranbourne East, that plays in the A-League, the top level of Australian soccer, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). Founded in 2009 as Melbourne Heart, the club competed under that name from its inaugural 2010–11 season until they were rebranded in mid-2014 by the City Football Group (CFG), in partnership with Holding M.S. Australia. In August 2015, City Football Group bought out the Holding M.S. Australia consortium to have 100% ownership of the club. Since forming in 2009, Melbourne City has claimed two A-League Men premierships and one championship, as well as one FFA Cup title (in 2016). Richard Garcia (born 4 September 1981) is an Australian association football manager and former player. He is currently an assistant coach for Australia's U23 team, having previously managed A-League Men's side Perth Glory. As a player, Garcia played for West Ham United, Leyton Orient, Colchester United, Hull City, Melbourne City, Sydney FC, Minnesota United, Perth Glory and internationally for Australia. Mate Dugandzic ( hr, Mate Dugandžić; born 22 October 1989) is a retired Australian football player. He is known for being the first player to make a direct switch between both Melbourne clubs in the A-League when he moved from Melbourne Victory to join Melbourne Heart in 2011. Jamie Coyne (born 2 January 1982) is an Australian former football (soccer) player. He is the younger brother of Chris Coyne and son of former NSL player John Coyne. Club career Early career Jamie was signed by West Ham United as his first professional football contract. Steven Gray (born 17 October 1981) is a retired Irish footballer who played for Drogheda United, Derry City & Bohemians in the League of Ireland as well as Dandenong Thunder, Oakleigh Cannons (2 spells) & Melbourne Heart in Australia. Andrew James Redmayne (born 13 January 1989) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Sydney FC in the A-League and the Australia men's national team. Benjamin Garuccio (born 15 June 1995) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a left back for Western United in the A-league. Marcel Meeuwis (born 31 October 1980) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Meeuwis played for amateur club Taxandria, and made his debut in professional football in the 2000–01 season at Willem II. Aziz Eraltay Behich ( tr, Aziz Eraltay, ; born 16 December 1990) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left back and left winger for Scottish club Dundee United and the Australia national team.
