2012–13 CEV Challenge Cup
The 2012–13 CEV Challenge Cup was the 33rd edition of the European Challenge Cup volleyball club tournament, the former CEV Cup. The Italian club Copra Elior Piacenza beat the Russian club Ural Ufa in the final and achieved its first CEV Challenge Cup trophy. The CEV Challenge Cup is the third tier official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition started in the 1980–81 season under the name CEV Cup. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Copra Elior Piacenza
Volley Piacenza was an Italian professional men's volleyball club based in Piacenza, northern Italy. They played in the Italian Volleyball League. The club ceased to exist in 2018 due to financial problems. Although the club reached the Italian 1st division for the first time only in 2002, after have dominated the Italian 2nd division and winning also the Italian Cup, it has already played 9 finals in Italy, including 5 for the Italian Title(winning only in 2009 versus the strong Trento), 2 for the Italian Cup(won in 2013 and lost in 2006) and 2 for the Italian Supercup (beating Macerata 3–2 in 2009 and losing versus the same team in 2014 again after a tie-break). Luciano De Cecco (born 2 June 1988) is an Argentine professional volleyball player who plays as a setter for Modena Volley and the Argentina men's national volleyball team, Argentina national team. He won the bronze medal at 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Club In May 2014, De Cecco signed a 3-year contract with Sir Safety Umbria Volley, Sir Safety Perugia. VK Dukla Liberec () is a Czech volleyball club based in Liberec. The club was born in 1948 in Prague, and in its history changed its headquarters several times: in 1957 it moved from the Czechoslovak capital to the town of Kolín, in 1966 to Jihlava, and finally in 1969 settled permanently in Liberec. The words ''Dukla'' is the amount of Czech ''CSKA'', in fact represented the formation, in the years of Soviet control, the army of Czechoslovakia.
