2012 Vic Open
The 2012 Vic Open was held from December 13 to 16 at the Club de curling Victoria in Quebec City, Quebec as part of the 2012–13 World Curling Tour. The event was held in a round robin format, and the purse for the event was CAD$10,000, of which the winner, Simon Dupuis, received CAD$1,800. Dupuis defeated Philippe Lemay in the final with a score of 8–6. Teams The teams are listed as follows. Though the event is listed on the men's World Curling Tour, one women's team, skipped by Marie-France Larouche, was allowed to participate. Paul Lodge (curler)
Paul Lodge (born 13 February 1961) is an English former footballer and football manager. A midfielder, he played in every division of the Football League, as well as in the Conference, Northern Premier League, and League of Wales. He began his career at Everton in 1979 and had loan spells at Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United, before joining Preston North End in 1983. He moved on to Bolton Wanderers the following year, who in turn loaned him out to Port Vale. After spending time with Stockport County, he headed into semi-professional football in 1986 with Barrow. He moved on to Southport, Macclesfield Town, Witton Albion (winning the Northern Premier League Premier Division title in 1990–91), and Morecambe, before returning to Southport in November 1993. Daniel Caron (curler)
Daniel J. Caron (born 1957) was the Librarian and Archivist of Canada from April 25, 2009 until May 15, 2013. He is also a professor, author, fellow and public speaker. Education Caron graduated with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Economics from Laval University, and earned a doctorate in Applied Human Sciences from the University of Montreal. His doctoral dissertation was in Canadian studies on aboriginal issues. Buckingham is a former town located in the Outaouais region in the western portion of the province of Quebec, Canada. Chicoutimi () is the most populous borough (arrondissement) of the city of Saguenay in Quebec, Canada. It is situated at the confluence of the Saguenay and Chicoutimi rivers. Jean-Sébastien Roy (born August 14, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Gatineau, Quebec. Career Roy is a two time provincial junior champion, winning in 1995 as the third for Yanick Gaudreault and in 1997 as the third for Philippe Lemay. At the 1995 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, Quebec finished with a 5–6 record. At the 1997 Canadian Juniors, the team finished the round robin with a 7–5 record, in a 5-way tie for 3rd place. Robert Desjardins (curler)
Robert Desjardins (born March 16, 1970) is a Canadian curler from Chicoutimi, Quebec. He is a two-time Quebec provincial champion and a Canadian mixed doubles champion. Career Desjardins skipped a team at the 2010 Quebec provincials, but finished outside of the playoffs. The next year, Desjardins played as third for François Gagné, and finished fourth in the 2011 Quebec provincials after round robin play. They then upset the top two teams, skipped by Serge Reid and Jean-Michel Ménard, to win their first provincial championship and Brier appearance. They finished in tenth place at the Brier with a 3–8 win–loss record.
