2012 Tour Of Slovenia
The 2012 Tour of Slovenia () was the 19th edition of the Tour of Slovenia, categorized as 2.1 stage race (UCI Europe Tour) held between 14 and 17 June 2012. The race consisted of 4 stages with 566.2 km (351.8 mi) in total. The yellow jersey reserved for overall classification since the 1st edition, was replaced with blue jersey, because Planet–Siol.net company was the new main sponsor, which turned out to be the only time. Novo Mesto
Novo Mesto (; ; also known by #Name, alternative names) is the List of cities and towns in Slovenia, seventh-largest city of Slovenia. It is the economic and cultural centre of the traditional region of Lower Carniola (southeastern Slovenia) and the seat of the City Municipality of Novo Mesto. It lies on a bend of the Krka (Sava), Krka River, close to the border with Croatia. Kristijan Koren (born 25 November 1986) is a Slovenian former professional road racing cyclist, who rode for UCI Continental team . During his racing career, Koren won the Gran Premio Città di Camaiore in 2010, and the Slovenian National Road Race Championships in 2022. He also served a doping suspension between 2019 and 2021, for his involvement in Operation Aderlass, an investigation into the practices of German physician Mark Schmidt. Career Born in Postojna, Koren turned professional with , a UCI ProTeam, in 2010. He remained with for the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons. Koren signed with , a UCI ProTeam, for the 2015 season. Adriano Malori
Adriano Malori (born 28 January 1988) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2017 for the and squads. During his professional career, Malori took fifteen victories, primarily in individual time trials – including three victories in the Italian National Time Trial Championships, and a stage victory at the 2014 Vuelta a España. He was also the winner of the under-23 time trial at the 2008 UCI Road World Championships and the time trial at the 2009 Mediterranean Games, both held in Italy. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). Å kofja Loka
Škofja Loka (; ) is a town in Slovenia. It is the economic, cultural, educational, and administrative center of the Municipality of Škofja Loka in Upper Carniola. It has about 12,000 inhabitants. Geography Škofja Loka lies at an elevation of at the confluence of the Poljane Sora and the Selca Sora rivers, at the transition of the Sora Plain into the Škofja Loka Hills and the Polhov Gradec Hills.
