2012 Texas Rangers Season
The 2012 Texas Rangers season was the 52nd season in the overall history of the franchise and the 41st since the team relocated to Arlington, Texas. The Rangers entered the season as the two-time defending champions of the American League and the American League West. They led the division for most of the season and had a 13-game lead on June 30, but faltered down the stretch. They finished 93–69, but were swept in the last series of the season by the Oakland Athletics and wound up second to the Athletics in the division. They then lost to the Baltimore Orioles in the ALWC Game and were eliminated from the playoffs. American League West
The American League West is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. The division has five teams as of the 2013 season, but had four teams from 1994 to 2012, and had as many as seven teams before the 1994 realignment. Although its teams currently only reside along the West Coast of the United States, West Coast and in Texas, historically the division has had teams as far east as Chicago and Minnesota. Neftalí Feliz Antonio (; born May 2, 1988) is a People of the Dominican Republic, Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. Joe Nathan
Joseph Michael Nathan (born November 22, 1974) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, and Chicago Cubs. Nathan started out his baseball career as a shortstop in high school and in college for Stony Brook Seawolves baseball, Stony Brook, but converted to a pitcher after being drafted by the Giants. The Baltimore Orioles (also known as the O's) are an American professional baseball team based in Baltimore.
