2012 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2012 Norwegian Football Cup was the 107th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. It began with qualification matches in April 2012. The first round was played on 1 May 2012 and the tournament ended with the final on 25 November 2012. Aalesund was the defending champions, having beaten Brann 2–1 in last season's final, but was eliminated by Sandefjord in the fourth round. The victory earned Hødd a place in the second qualifying round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. IL Hødd
Idrottslaget Hødd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Founded in 1919, it has sections for team handball, gymnastics and football. It is best known for their men's football team, which since 2015 plays at Høddvoll, whose stated capacity is 4,081. The club's old home ground, Høddvoll Stadion, holds the record attendance of over 12,000 spectators at a match against Vålerenga in 1981. Hødd are currently playing in 2. divisjon, the third tier of Norwegian football. They played in the top tier in 1966, 1969–72 (4 seasons) and 1995 and is the club that has played most seasons at the second tier. Hødd won the Norwegian Cup in 2012. 2012 Norwegian Second Division
The 2012 2. divisjon season began on 14 April 2012 and ended on 27 October 2012. The league consisted of 56 teams divided into 4 groups of 14 teams. The four group-winners, Elverum, Kristiansund, Vard Haugesund and Follo was promoted to the 1. divisjon, while the bottom three teams in each groups was relegated to the 3. divisjon. Teams Asker, Løv-Ham (replaced by Fyllingsdalen Løv-Ham and Fyllingen merged and formed a new club, named FK Fyllingsdalen, which will take Løv-Ham's spot in 2. Divisjon. The 2012 1. divisjon (referred to as Adeccoligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football season. The season began on 9 April 2012 and ended on 11 November 2012. Two clubs, Start and Sarpsborg, were relegated from the 2011 Tippeligaen, while Notodden, Tromsdalen, Ull/Kisa, and Bærum were promoted from the 2011 2. divisjon. 2012 Tippeligaen
The 2012 Tippeligaen was the 68th completed season of top division football in Norway. The competition began on 23 March 2012 and ended on 18 November 2012, with a summer break from 28 May to 30 June. Molde were the defending champions, while Hønefoss and Sandnes Ulf entered as the promoted teams from the 2011 1. divisjon. They replaced Start and Sarpsborg 08 who were relegated to the 2012 1. divisjon. On 11 November 2011, Molde won the title with one matchday left to play after a 1–0 home win over Hønefoss. It was their second consecutive league title and also their second top-flight title overall.
