2012 Nevada Elections
Nevada's 2012 general elections were held on November 6, 2012. Primary elections were held on June 12, 2012. Federal Presidential Nevada voters will choose 6 representatives to the Electoral College (United States), Electoral College who will vote for the president and vice-president of the United States. Sheila Leslie (born in 1955 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California) is an American politician. Washoe County, Nevada
Washoe County () is a county in the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 486,492, making it Nevada's second-most populous county. Its county seat is Reno. Washoe County is included in the Reno, NV Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Washoe County was created on November 25, 1861, as one of the original nine counties of the Nevada Territory. It is named after the Washoe people who originally inhabited the area. It was consolidated with Roop County in 1864. Washoe City was the first county seat in 1861 and was replaced by Reno in 1871. Debra Allison Copening (née Mellot; July 4, 1964 – January 18, 2020) was a Democratic member of the Nevada Senate, representing Clark County District 6map from 2009 to 13, defeating incumbent Bob Beers in 2008. Steven Alexzander Horsford (born April 29, 1973) is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. representative for Nevada's 4th congressional district since 2019, previously holding the position from 2013 to 2015. He also served as chair of the Congressional Black Caucus from 2023 to 2025.
