2012 Marburg Open – Singles ...
The 2012 Marburg Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the third edition of the tournament which was part of the 2012 ATP Challenger Tour. It took place in Marburg, Germany between 25 June and 1 July 2012. Björn Phau was the defending champion but chose to compete in Wimbledon instead. Jan Hájek won the tournament by defeating Andreas Haider-Maurer 6–2, 6–2 in the final. Jan Hájek (tennis)
Jan Hájek (born 7 August 1983) is a retired male professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. He reached the third round of the 2007 French Open and attained a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 71 in November 2006. Career Hájek turned professional in 2000 and won his first Futures event in Negril of the same year defeating Johan Örtegren in the final. Between 2000 and 2003 Hájek played primarily on the Futures circuit, then after that he played some Challenger events as well as the Futures tournaments. At the end of 2005 he had won 8 Futures titles all on clay, which is his best surface. 2006 was the breakthrough season for Hájek, as he started the year ranked at 352 and then finished the season ranked at 76th in the world. Uładzimir Iharavich Ihnatsik (); or Vladimir Igorevich Ignatik (); born 14 July 1990 in Belarus, is a Belarusian professional tennis player. Professional career Junior career Igantik was ranked the No. 1 junior in the world in June 2007 after winning the boys' singles title at 2007 Roland Garros, and later finished runner-up at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships. Then as the top seed, Ignatik lost in the quarterfinals of the 2007 US Open. Early career Ignatik gained ATP points mainly by playing in Futures tournaments. Mikhail "Mischa" Alexandrovich Zverev. (born 22 August 1987) is a German retired professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 25 on 24 July 2017.
