2012 MLS Supplemental Draft
The 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft was a secondary draft that was held by Major League Soccer via conference call on January 17, 2012. The draft was four rounds and all 19 MLS clubs participated. Changes from 2011 *As an expansion club, Montreal received the first pick in the Supplemental Draft. *Due to the league shortening the 2012 MLS SuperDraft from three rounds to two rounds, the Supplemental Draft was increased from three rounds to four rounds. Previously traded SuperDraft Round 3 picks became Supplemental Draft Round 1 picks. Draft (sports)
A draft is a process used in some countries (especially in North America) and sports (especially in closed leagues) to allocate certain players to teams. In a draft, teams take turns selecting from a pool of eligible players. When a team selects a player, the team receives exclusive rights to sign that player to a contract, and no other team in the league may sign the player. The process is similar to round-robin item allocation. The best-known type of draft is the entry draft, which is used to allocate players who have recently become eligible to play in a league. Depending on the sport, the players may come from college, high school or junior teams, or teams in other countries. Andy Rose
Andrew Patrick Rose (born 13 February 1990) is an English football coach and former professional player who played as a midfielder. Born in Australia, Rose played for the youth teams of Bristol City in England before moving to the United States and made his professional debut for American Major League Soccer side Seattle Sounders FC in 2012. After retiring from playing, Rose became an assistant coach for the same club in 2022. Jean-Marc Alexandre (born 24 August 1986) is a Haitian international footballer who last played for Hang Yuen in the Taiwan Football Premier League, as a midfielder. Career Youth and College Born in Verrettes, Haiti, Alexandre grew up Delray Beach, Florida, attended Atlantic High School, and played college soccer at Lynn University. Paulo Roberto Corradi Nagamura (; born March 2, 1983) is a Brazilian former professional footballer and coach who most recently served as head coach of MLS club Houston Dynamo.
