2012 Indianapolis Enforcers Season
The 2012 Indianapolis Enforcers season was the second season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. For the 2012 season, the Enforcers will play their home games at The SportZone in Indianapolis, Indiana after playing the 2011 season as a travel team. The team removed defensive coordinator Tiny Lee, and replaced him with Brian Hendricks, who will also serve as the wide receivers coach. The team also announced the signing of CIFL veteran quarterback, Ron Ricciardi to help lead the offense. Ricciardi brought instant stability to the offense throwing 5 touchdowns in his first game coming off the bench. Those 5 touchdowns were more than any Enforcers quarterback had thrown all season in 2011. On March 31, 2012 the Enforcers recorded their first ever franchise victory, second due to 2011 forfeit victory over the Port Huron Predators, with a 40-34 win over the Chicago Vipers. The Cincinnati Commandos were a professional indoor football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team suspended operations for the 2013 season, with hope of returning in 2014. They began play in 2010 as an expansion team in the Continental Indoor Football League before moving to the United Indoor Football League in 2012. In sport, a bye is the preferential status of a player or team that is automatically advanced to the next round of a tournament, without having to play an opponent in an early round. In knockout (elimination) tournaments they can be granted either to reward the highest ranked participant(s) or assigned randomly, to make a working bracket if the number of participants is not a power of two (e.g. 16 or 32). McMorran Arena
McMorran Arena is an entertainment complex in Port Huron, Michigan consisting of a 4,800-seat multi-purpose arena and a theater. It was designed by Alden B. The 2012 Port Huron Patriots season is the first season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. After the disappointing end to the Port Huron Predators season in 2011, Dave and Cyndi Kinsman wanted to bring back a team to Port Huron in 2012 and the future. Kinsman stated, "We are aware of the history of teams in this city and the bottom line is that you have to win on and off the field to make this succeed. Other teams could win on the field, but couldn't win off the field meaning they didn't have the front office and leadership it takes to succeed. 2012 Chicago Pythons Season
The 2012 Chicago Pythons season was the first and only season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. On December 9, 2011 it was announced that the Vipers and the Evansville Rage would become the 5th and 6th expansion teams for the 2012 CIFL season. The Vipers will host only three games for the 2012 season and also have availability to host for the playoffs should they qualify. Co-owners Richard Petroski Jr. and Michael Duran are both looking to bring back a positive image for Chicago CIFL teams as last two have left a bad taste in the fans mouths. The team was originally scheduled to play their home games at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, but later decided to play at the Megaplex in Homer Glen, Illinois. Dow Event Center
The Dow Event Center (formerly known as Saginaw County Event Center and Saginaw Civic Center) is an indoor arena located in Saginaw, Michigan. The center consists of several parts: The Atrium, The Garden Room, The Theater, The Red Room, Huntington Event Park, and The Arena. It currently houses the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit. The facility has housed a number of hockey teams in the past, such as the Saginaw Lumber Kings and both the IHL and UHL incarnations of the Saginaw Gears. 2012 Saginaw Sting Season
The 2012 Saginaw Sting season is the fourth season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. On November 11, 2011, Esposito sold his rights to operate the team to Schweigert, Rob Licht and Jim O'Brien. The new ownership announced the same day that they would be moving the team back to the CIFL. On December 29, 2011, the Sting announced that 2011 interim head coach Vince Leveille would return as the full-time head coach for the 2012 season, but just 11 days before the team's first game, Leveille stepped down as the head coach, citing that his full-time job made him unavailable to do both. Defensive Coordinator Fred Townsend took over as the team's head coach.
