2012 Pekan Olahraga Nasional or 2012 National Sports Week was a multi-sport event in Indonesia which was held in Riau from 9–20 September 2012. The previous edition was held in East Kalimantan. 2012 Piala Indonesia
The 2012 Piala Indonesia was the sixth edition of ''Piala Indonesia'', the nationwide football cup tournament in Indonesia, involving professional clubs from Indonesian Premier League and Premier Division. Sriwijaya FC was the tournament's defending champions. However, the team did not join Piala Indonesia that season due to being one of the Indonesia Super League teams. Persibo Bojonegoro of East Java won the championship after defeating Semen Padang of West Sumatra in the final. The cup winner qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup. The 2011–12 Indonesia Super League was the 4th season of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), a fully professional football competition as the top tier of the football league pyramid in Indonesia. The season began on 1 December 2011. Persipura Jayapura were the defending champions, having won their 3rd league title the previous season.
