Apollo Ghosts
Apollo Ghosts is a Canadian indie rock Jangle-punk band formed in Nanaimo in 2009 and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The original band was singer and guitarist Adrian Teacher, bassist Jason Oliver, and drummer Amanda Panda. Jarrett K (Jarrett Samson) later joined on Bass and Jason Oliver moved to second guitar. They reunited on January 20, 2019, with Teacher, Panda, Robbie Nall, and Luke N. History The group released their first album, ''Hastings Sunrise'', in 2009. That year, they also released the five-track EP ''Forgotten Triangle''. They followed up with ''Mount Benson'' in 2010. The latter album was a long-listed nominee for the 2010 Polaris Music Prize. The Birthday Massacre
The Birthday Massacre (abbreviated TBM) is a Canadian rock music, rock band formed in 1999 in London, Ontario and currently based in Toronto. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Sara 'Chibi' Taylor, rhythm guitarist Michael Rainbow, lead guitarist Michael Falcore, keyboardist Owen Mackinder, drummer Philip Elliott, and bassist A Primitive Evolution, Brett Carruthers. When the band formed in 1999, they were known as 'Imagica'. This name was inspired by the 1991 fantasy novel ''Imajica'' by Clive Barker. In 2002, they changed the name to The Birthday Massacre after one of their earlier songs in order to avoid confusion with another group. ''Dead Silence'' is a 2007 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan and written by Leigh Whannell. The film stars Ryan Kwanten as Jamie Ashen, a young widower returning to his hometown to search for answers to his wife's death. It also stars Amber Valletta, Donnie Wahlberg, and Bob Gunton. ''Dead Silence'' was theatrically released in the United States on March 16, 2007, by Universal Pictures. The film was dedicated to Gregg Hoffman, who died in 2005. Upon release, it was considered a critical and commercial flop, earning $22.4 million on a $20 million production budget and received negative reviews from critics, who criticized the script, characters and twist ending, but has developed into a cult following. Billy Talent
Billy Talent is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Mississauga, Ontario. They formed in 1993 with lead vocalist Benjamin Kowalewicz, guitarist Ian D'Sa, bassist Jonathan Gallant, and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk. There have been no lineup changes, although Solowoniuk has been on hiatus from the band since 2016 due to a relapse of multiple sclerosis. In the three decades since their inception, Billy Talent has sold well over a million physical albums in Canada alone and nearly 3 million albums internationally. Big Brave
Big Brave (stylized as BIG , BRAVE) is a Canadian heavy, experimental band formed in 2012 in Montreal. The members are guitarist/vocalist Robin Wattie, guitarist Mathieu Ball, and drummer Tasy Hudson. While Wattie and Ball are original members, having played together as an acoustic, folk oriented duo before forming Big Brave, Hudson joined them in 2019, replacing original drummer Louis-Alexandre Beauregard. Loel Campbell appears on A Gaze Among Them as a hired drummer. Big Brave have released seven studio albums, the latest being 2024's '' A Chaos of Flowers'' and one collaborative album with The Body in 2021, ''Leaving None but Small Birds.'' Dave Bidini (born September 11, 1963) is a Canadian musician and writer. Originally from Etobicoke, Ontario, he was a founding member of the rock band Rheostatics, and currently performs with Bidiniband. Afie Jurvanen (born April 28, 1981), known by his stage name Bahamas, is a Canadian musician. Early life Jurvanen was born in Toronto and raised in Barrie, Ontario. His mother was winner of the Miss Finland contest in 1973. He speaks Finnish fluently, and he also has a Finnish passport. Career Jurvanen taught himself guitar. He worked with a variety of musicians including The Lumineers, City and Colour, Feist, Howie Beck, Jason Collett, Jack Johnson, The Weather Station, and Zeus. Steve Lambke
Steve Lambke is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He is a vocalist and guitarist for the indie rock band Constantines, and formerly released solo material under the name Baby Eagle. Biography Lambke grew up in Cambridge, Ontario where he played with fellow Constantine Dallas Wehrle in a band called Captain Co-Pilot in the late 1990s. He moved to Guelph in 1997 to attend school at the University of Guelph and earned a Bachelor of Science in physics.
