2012 Copa Bimbo
The 2012 Campeonato Internacional de Verano, also known as 2012 Copa Bimbo for sponsoring purposes, is the fourth edition of the Campeonato Internacional de Verano, an exhibition international club football competition that featured two clubs from Uruguay (Nacional and Peñarol), one from Peru (Universidad San Martín) and one from Chile (Palestino). It is played in Montevideo, Uruguay at the Estadio Centenario from 13 to 15 January 2012. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Rodrigo Fabián Riquelme Cabrera (born 1 June 1984) is a Paraguayan-born Chilean defender. Riquelme's professional debut came for Paraguayan side Sol de América in 2003.
