The Ugandan Premier League, also known as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations. The league was previously known as the Uganda Super League but changed in the 2014–15 season after new management taking over. The league's roots date back to 1968 when the National First Division League was established. Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (Abbreviated as KCCA FC) and also known as Kampala City, is a Ugandan professional football club based in Kampala, the largest city and capital of Uganda. Kampala City Council was rebranded to Kampala Capital City Authority and the club title has been changed accordingly. Police FC is a football club from Kampala in Uganda. It was formed in 1965 with a mission, ''"To be a football club that upholds community values and promote carrier development as community policing tool to avert criminality in the society"''. History They won their first Ugandan league title in 2005 and the CECAFA Clubs Cup in 2006. Police was spurred on in the early years by Dennis Obua as a player and later as coach. During Obua's years, he managed to stage youthful players who have blossomed into really great talent. When Obua became the Federation of Uganda Football Association president, he hired Steven Mulinde to step in his shoes. Victors FC was a Ugandan association football team based in Kampala which played in the Ugandan Super League until their relegation in 2012. Victors FC won the Ugandan Cup twice and also appeared in the CAF Confederations Cup. Proline FC, or short Proline, is a Ugandan professional football based in Kampala, currently competing in the Ugandan regional leagues. History The team was founded in 2006 and was promoted to the top flight Uganda Premier League in 2007. Proline played seven seasons before finishing 15th and being relegated in 2013–14. In 2007, Proline invited Rio Ferdinand to Uganda, where he met with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
