Nepal National League
The National League (also known as Red Bull National League) is a club-level association football competition in Nepal. The champions secured qualification to a continental cup, previously the AFC President's Cup (now AFC Cup). It took place for two seasons in 2011–12 and 2015. In other years the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League was and still is the highest level league in Nepal, together with franchise based Nepal Super League. Due to the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2015 season was halted for several mothns, before professional level football was paused in Nepal due to the earthquake's aftermath, until the next season of the 2018–19 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Jawalakhel Youth Club
Jāwalākhel ( ne, जावलाखेल) is a subdivision of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is located 2 km from the ancient city centre Pātan, one of the three great capitals of Nepal until the 18th century. It derives its name from Jaulakhel Durbar, a palace located in Jawalakhel that was built by Bir Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana in 1954 BS. Origin of the name Jawalakhel means "rice throwing field" in Nepal Bhasa. The name is derived from the large open field at the town's center where cooked rice is offered during an annual religious festival. The field is the venue of Bhoto Jātrā, the festival of the display of the sacred vest, which is the most important cultural event held in Jawalakhel. Ju Manu Rai (Nepali: जुमानु राई; born 24 January 1984 in Sarlahi District) is a Nepalese footballer, who currently plays for Nepal Police Club and the national side of Nepal. Career He used to play the local tournaments of football at Harion and other parts of Sarlahi and often bag with awards and shields during childhood. Santosh Sahukhala ( ne, सन्तोष साहुखल; born 10 January 1988) is a Nepali international football player. Early life As a child he played at the Madhyapur Football Club. His elder brother Bal Gopal Sahukhala is also a professional footballer. He started playing football as early as eight years old and competed in several school-level tournaments representing his school. Nepal A.P.F. Club (), commonly known as APF Club, is a sports club based in Kathmandu, Bagmati Province, Nepal. The club is the sports-wing of the Armed Police Force. History The APF Club was established on 24 October 2001, following the tradition of forming a sports club within an official group, as the Police and army had already done. Initially, the club was named Gyanendra APF Club, in tribute to the King at the time. Later, the government made the decision to remove all references to royalty from the names of government clubs, so the team changed their name to APF Club. Cricket APF is one of the three departmental teams to play in National League Cricket and in Prime Minister One Day Cup. New Road Team ( ne, न्यु रोड टिम; better known by its abbreviation NRT) is a Nepalese multi-sports club, widely known for its football achievements. The club is based in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. They compete in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. History NRT was established in 1991 BS (1934 AD). Besides sports, the club was also active in mobilizing youth against the autocratic Rana regime. NRT is the oldest existing club in the Nepal. For the season of 2013–2014 club decided not to participate in league and other domestic competitions. NRT were automatically demoted 'B' Division for not registering their team at ANFA for league season. Himalayan Sherpa Club is a Nepali professional football club based in the city of Kathmandu (originally from Hattigauda), that competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, top flight of Nepali football. They play at the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium. History The club was founded on 25 September 2006 and played their first tournament at the 2007 edition of the Aaha! Gold Cup. Nepal Police Club (formerly known as Mahendra Police Club) is a sports club owned and managed by Nepal Police. The club competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, the top flight of Nepali club football. History Established in 1952 and named after King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, ''Mahendra Police Club'' has been part of the new Nepal League since its inception in 2003.
