2011–12 Kuwaiti Federation Cup
The 5th Kuwaiti Federation Cup started on 5 September 2011. The fifth Federation Cup is one of four competitions in the Kuwaiti 2011/2012 season. 14 clubs are taking part in the tournament. They were divided into two groups of seven, and the winner and runner-up of each group will advance to the semi-finals. Kuwait Federation Cup
The Kuwaiti Federation Cup () is a competition organised by the Kuwait Football Association, and has been played in its current format since 2008. The first edition of the Federation Cup was played in the 1969–70 season, although not much is known about the competition in the early years. The competition is for senior teams playing in the top tier Kuwait Premier League, although the 2015–16 edition saw the second-division Burgan enter. The cup competition is predominantly played during international breaks (group stage) and after league match days. the tournament was abolished at the end of 2015–16 season, but returned in 2017–18. Kuwait Sports Club () is a Kuwaiti professional association football, football club based in Kuwait City. Their football team has won Kuwait Premier League 19 times and has won over 50 trophies overall. Al Qadsia Sporting Club () is a professional football club based in Kuwait City. Al Qadsia was founded in 1953 as ''Al-Jazira'', before being renamed to ''Al Qadsia SC'' on 20 October 1960. Al-Arabi Sporting Club () is a multi-sport club based in Mansuriya district of Kuwait City. The most notable section is its professional football team in the Kuwait Premier League. Al-Arabi SC was named ''Al-ʿUrūba'' () at the beginning of 1953, and changed to Al-Arabi SC (The Arabian) in 1960. Al Yarmouk (football Club)
Al-Yarmouk Sporting Club () is a Kuwaiti professional sports club located in the district of Mishref. It was established on 28 February 1965 in Failaka Island and was the only Kuwaiti club established outside mainland Kuwait at that time. The club was relocated to Kuwait after the 1990–1991 Gulf War, which resulted in the displacement of many inhabitants belonging to Failaka's island settlements. Therefore, due to inadequate facilities after the liberation of Kuwait, it was inevitable that the team had to move to a better and more sustainable location. Other reason for the relocation was due to insufficient means of transportation to Failaka Island for away matches during the regular season.
