2011–12 Blackpool F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Blackpool F.C.s first season back in the Football League Championship, the second tier of English professional football, after being relegated from the Premier League at the conclusion of 2010–11 campaign. It was their 103rd overall season in the Football League. It was Ian Holloway's third season as manager. The club finished the regular season in fifth position, thus qualifying them for the play-offs. They reached the final, in which they lost to West Ham 1–2. Kevin Phillips, in his first season at Blackpool, finished as the club's top scorer with seventeen goals (sixteen in the League). Blackpool F
Blackpool is a seaside town in Lancashire, England. It is located on the Irish Sea coast of the Fylde peninsula, approximately north of Liverpool and west of Preston, Lancashire, Preston. It is the main settlement in the Borough of Blackpool, borough of the same name. Blackpool was originally a small hamlet; it began to grow in the mid-eighteenth century, when sea bathing for health purposes became fashionable. Blackpool's beach was suitable for this activity, and by 1781 several hotels had been built. The opening of a railway station in 1846 allowed more visitors to reach the resort, which continued to grow for the remainder of the nineteenth century. In 1876, the town became a borough. Bojan Djordjic
Bojan Djordjic (, ; ; born 6 February 1982) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a winger. Starting off his career with IF Brommapojkarna in the late 1990s, Djordjic soon joined Manchester United, with which he was named the 1999–2000 Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year, and AIK, with which he won the 2009 Allsvenskan and 2009 Svenska Cupen. Andy Reid (Irish Footballer)
Andrew Matthew Reid (born 29 July 1982) is an Irish professional football manager and former footballer. He is currently an academy coach at Premier league club Nottingham Forest. A midfielder, he turned professional in August 1999 making his debut for Nottingham Forest on 29 November 2000 against Sheffield United. Reid moved from Forest to Tottenham in 2005, then to Charlton Athletic in 2006, Sunderland in 2008 and Blackpool in 2011. In July 2011 he signed a two-year deal back at Nottingham Forest. Sergei Aleksandrovich Kornilenko (; ; born 14 June 1983) is a Belarusian professional football coach and a former player who played as a striker. In Belarus, both Belarusian and Russian languages are official. Thus his name, usually transliterated as Sergei Kornilenko (), can be alternatively spelled as Syarhey Karnilenka (). Nîmes Olympique (commonly referred to as simply Nîmes) is a French association football club based in Nîmes. Salaheddine Sbaï (born 21 August 1985 in Sidi Kacem) is a Moroccan former professional footballer. Club career Sbaï began his career for the youth side at Charleroi and was loaned out for the 2004/2005 season to Ronse. Marlon Harewood
Marlon Anderson Harewood (born 25 August 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. Harewood started his career at Nottingham Forest. During his career there, he had loan spells at Haka and Ipswich Town before joining West Ham United in 2003 and then Aston Villa in 2007. Ishmel Abendigo Demontagnac (born 15 June 1988) is an English former footballer who played as a winger. Demontagnac previously played for Walsall. He has played in all four divisions of professional football in England, in the Football League and Premier League. He has also represented England at Under-18 and Under-19 levels. Jason Joseph Euell (born 6 February 1977) is a former professional association football, footballer who played as either a Forward (association football), forward or a midfielder. Malaury Martin (born 25 August 1988) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Martin started his career with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
