2011–12 Aberdeen F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Aberdeen's 99th season in the top flight of Scottish football. Aberdeen competed in the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup. Aberdeen were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup at the third round stage, losing on penalties to East Fife after a 3–3 draw. In the Scottish Cup, Aberdeen lost 1–2 to Hibernian in the semi-final. Aberdeen finished in 9th place in the Scottish Premier League. Darren Mackie
Darren Graham Mackie (born 5 January 1982) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a striker for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League between 1998 and 2012, with a loan spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2004. Though he was never a prolific goalscorer throughout his career, Mackie is regarded as a cult hero among Aberdeen fans due to his off-field antics and scoring the goal that took ''the Dons'' into the UEFA Cup group stages in 2007. Ryan Jack
Ryan James Jack (born 27 February 1992) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for TFF First League club Esenler Erokspor and the Scotland national team. Jack began his career at Aberdeen, spending 17 years connected with the club across youth and senior categories; he was in the team that won the 2013–14 Scottish League Cup, their first trophy since 1995, and served as captain for two years. He left Aberdeen in 2017 and signed for Rangers as a free agent. Joshua Brendan David Magennis (born 15 August 1990) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays as a striker for club Exeter City and the Northern Ireland national team. Mike Hanke
Mike Hanke (; born 5 November 1983) is a German former professional footballer who played the position of forward. He has been described as a player who "gives it his all in attack and is always dangerous in the opponent's penalty area." He earned 17 caps for the Germany national team between 2005 and 2007, and was in the teams which finished third at the 2005 Confederations Cup and 2006 World Cup on home soil. Ruhrstadion () is a football stadium in Bochum, Germany. It is the home ground for the VfL Bochum and has a capacity of 27,599. It was known as rewirpowerSTADION (or, rarely, ) from 2006 to 2016, also for sponsorship reasons. History In 1911 the Spiel und Sport Bochum leased a meadow from a local farmer as their new home ground. The club played the first match at the new venue against the VfB Hamm in front of 500 spectators. The TuS Bochum did not build a stadium until after World War I as late as 1921. Daniel Ginczek (born 13 April 1991) is a German retired professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Borussia Dortmund In the 2007–08 season, he was the best scorer in the U-17 league. In 25 games, he scored 26 goals. In the U-18 national team, Ginczek scored three goals in six games, he also took part in seven matches of the U-19 national team, scoring on one occasion.
