2011 World Series By Renault
The 2011 World Series by Renault was the seventh season of Renault Sport's series of events, with four different championships racing under one banner. Consisting of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, the Eurocup Mégane Trophy and Eurocup Clio, the World Series by Renault ran at seven different venues, where fans could get into the meetings for no cost whatsoever, such is the uniqueness of the series. The series began on 16 April at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragón in Alcañiz, and finished on 9 October at the Circuit de Catalunya, just outside Barcelona. Rounds at Brno, Magny-Cours and Hockenheim were dropped. Renault Sport
Renault Sport () or Renaultsport, was a motorsport, performance and special vehicles division for Renault-badged cars and later a sub-badge of Renault cars managed by Automobiles Alpine, Alpine. The first Renault Sport was officially established as a company in 1976 as a merger between the Alpine and Gordini competition departments. It was made a division and reorganised in 2002 and 2016. In December 2021, all Renault Sport operations were merged into an Alpine-led business unit. The Renault Sport car range under Alpine was completely phased out by the end of 2023. Alexander Michael Rossi (born September 25, 1991) is an American racing driver, who competes in the IndyCar Series for Ed Carpenter. Rossi competed in Formula One at five Grands Prix in . In American open-wheel racing, Rossi won the Indianapolis 500 as a rookie in 2016 with Bryan Herta Autosport; in endurance racing (motorsport), endurance racing, he won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2021 24 Hours of Daytona, 2021 with Wayne Taylor Racing, WTR.
