2011 World Port Tournament
The 2011 World Port Tournament was an international baseball competition held at the Neptunus Family Stadium in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from June 23 to July 3, 2011. Han Lin
Lin Han (; born 24 January 1985) is a Taiwanese baseball player who plays for the Taiwan Cooperative Bank baseball team. He is a cousin of former Taiwan national team pitcher Cheng-Hsun Hsieh. Lin played for Taiwan in the 2001 World Youth Baseball Championship and 2006 World University Baseball Championship. In the 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week, he went 1 for 11 in his first action with a senior Taiwan national team. During the 2007 World Port Tournament, he hit .206/.289/.235 and made four errors in nine games. Lin was drafted by the Chinatrust Whales in 2007. When the Whales were disbanded following a 2008 gambling scandal, he went to the Uni-President Lions in the 2nd round of the disbursement draft. As he was completing his military service, he had not played yet for the Whales. Lin was on Taiwan's roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic. 2009 World Port Tournament
The 2009 World Port Tournament is an international baseball competition held at the DOOR Neptunus Familiestadion in Rotterdam, The Netherlands from July 2–12, 2009. It was the 12th edition of the tournament and featured teams from Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Japan and the Netherlands. Originally, USA Baseball would send an All-Star team from the Great South League, but due to missing papers, the team had to withdraw from the tournament, one day before starting. The organization of the tournament decided that the four teams would meet each other a third time in the tournament. Group stage Standings ' Game 10 was postponed due to rain to Thursday morning, right before Game 13. Due to this double game, it was rule out to continue after the end of the 9th inning. It was the first time ever since 1989, that a full game ended in a tie. The World Port Tournament was an international baseball tournament held at the ''Neptunus Familiestadion'' in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The tournament was held every other year ( excluded) in odd-numbered years since , alternating with the Haarlem Baseball Week. The last edition of the tournament was held in 2019, with subsequent editions cancelled. The tournament was created by Bram Peper, who was asked by Cuban Dr. Oscar Ferdinand Mell to organize an international baseball tournament, between national baseball teams all over the world, in Rotterdam. The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) is the former international governing body of baseball. The Chinese Taipei national baseball team ( zh, t=中華臺北棒球代表隊, p=Zhōnghuá Táiběi Bàngqiú Dàibiǎoduì) is the national men's baseball team of Taiwan. Neptunus
Neptunus is a professional baseball and softball club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Following its 2014 championship season, the club signed a sponsorship contract for the 2015 through 2017 seasons with Curaçao and competes under the name Curaçao Neptunus. Extra innings is the extension of a baseball or softball game in order to break a tie. Ordinarily, a baseball game consists of nine regulation innings (in softball and high school baseball games there are typically seven innings; in Little League Baseball, six), each of which is divided into halves: the visiting team bats first, after which the home team takes its turn at bat.
