2011 Uzbek League
The 2011 Uzbek League season was the 20th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since independence in 1992. The draw for the 2011 Uzbek League season took place on December 16, 2010. Bunyodkor were the defending champions from the 2010 campaign. New Rules *The 5+1 format of foreign players has been reduced to 4+1. *If any team is found winning with the help of the referee (i.e. the team made some deals with the referee before the game), the team will lose 6 to 9 points. *If there are any riots during a game, then the team concerned will lose 3 points. *Since there were too many coaches sacked in the last edition of the Uzbek League, now no club can fire their coach, except with the permission of the U.F.F. Uzbek League
Uzbekistan Super League ( uz, O'zbekiston Superligasi), also called Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons ( uz, Coca-Cola O'zbekiston Superligasi / Coca-Cola Ўзбекистон Суперлигаси), is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently played with 14 teams. The top team qualifies to the group stage of the AFC Champions League. JAR Stadium is a football stadium, located in the capital of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent. It is part of the JAR Sport Complex. The stadium seats 8,500 spectators. JAR Stadium opened in 1998. It was renovated in 2005. Mirjalol Kushakovich Qosimov ( uz, Mirjalol Qoʻshoqovich Qosimov, russian: Мирджалол Кушакович Касымов; in English language, English also: Mirdjalal Kasimov or Kasymov) (born 17 September 1970) is a former head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team. Football Club Bunyodkor ( uz, Bunyodkor futbol klubi) is an Uzbek professional football club based in Tashkent that competes in the Uzbekistan Super League. Bunyodkor, a relatively unknown club at the time, made international headlines when it claimed to be close to signing world-famous Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, although he did not sign with them. FC Shurtan Guzar ( uz, Sho'rtan G'uzor professional futbol klubi or Шўртан Ғузор футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in G‘uzor, Uzbekistan. History During its first years the club played in the lower divisions of Uzbekistan. In 2006 FC Shurtan made its debut in the Uzbek League. The 2010 season was the club's most successful season when they finished 4th in the league and were runners-up in the Uzbek Cup.
