Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a town in Greater Manchester, England. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. John Part (born 29 June 1966) is a Canadian former professional darts player and current commentator, who competes in World Seniors events. Nicknamed "Darth Maple", he is a three-time World Champion, having won the 1994 BDO World Darts Championship on his world championship debut, and the PDC World Championship in 2003 and 2008. Tony Eccles
Tony Eccles (born 8 January 1970) is an English former professional darts player and convicted sex offender. Nicknamed The Viper, he played in both the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He reached the quarter-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship twice and is a former winner of the Dutch Open, British Open and British Pentathlon. Mareno Michels
Mareno Michels (born 23 October 1984) is a Dutch darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career BDO Michels made three quarter final appearances in the BDO Open events in 2005, doing so in the Welsh Open, English Open and the German Open. He followed it up with another quarter final appearance, this time at the World Darts Trophy, one of the WDF majors. He defeated Tony Martin and Simon Whitlock before losing to Mervyn King. Mervyn King (born 15 March 1966) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He formerly competed in British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments. Nicknamed The King, he reached seven PDC premier event finals and a peak ranking of world number four in the PDC Order of Merit. Michael Mansell (born 31 August 1973) is a Northern Irish darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He reached his first major semi-final at the 2024 Grand Slam. Mansell won his maiden ranking title at 2018 PDC Players Championship 8. Career In October 2010, Mansell reached the semi-finals of a Players Championship in Dublin. John Magowan (born 10 June 1941) is a Northern Irish former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. BDO career MaGowan reached the final of the Isle of Man Open in 1994, losing to Mick Manning. In 1997, MaGowan reached the quarter-finals of the Dutch Open and the WDF World Cup as well as the 1998 Norway Open. Steven Brown (born 25 January 1981) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career He has competed on the PDC Pro Tour since 2006, regularly reaching the last 64 of events. His best performances came in the 2007 Windy City Open in Chicago and the 2007 UK Open Irish Regional where he reached the quarter-finals. Dennis Priestley
Dennis Priestley (born 16 July 1950) is an English former professional darts player. He won two world championships, and was the first player to win both the BDO and WDC (now PDC) world championships, in 1991 and 1994 respectively. He was nicknamed "The Menace", after the ''Beano'' character Dennis the Menace, and reflected this by wearing red and black and using red and black flights. Steve Hine
Stephen Hine (born 20 April 1969) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He works as a baker and consequently he is nicknamed The Muffin Man. He is well known for bringing muffins and throwing them to the crowd during his walk-on. Ronnie Baxter (born 5 February 1961) is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He used the nickname "The Rocket" for his matches.
