Ipswich Witches
The Ipswich Witches are a British speedway club based at Foxhall Stadium near Ipswich, Suffolk. They compete in the British SGB Premiership. Meetings are staged on most Thursdays from March until October, normally commencing at 7.30pm (first race 7.45pm). The Witches are currently promoted by former Ipswich riders Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins. Chris Louis is the son of former rider and promoter John Louis History Early history Foxhall Stadium was purpose-built for speedway in 1950, and meetings were held there from 1951 to 1965 when the track was resurfaced for stock car racing. Attendances approached 20,000 and made stars of riders such as Syd Clarke, Junior Bainbridge, Tich Read and Peter Moore. Stuart Robson (speedway Rider)
Stuart Anthony Robson (born 8 November 1976 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear) is a British motorcycle speedway rider. His brother Scott Robson also rode, as did his father John Robson. Career Stuart made his British racing debut in 1993, riding for the Newcastle Diamonds and in 32 matches he posted an average of 4.35. The following season was again with the Diamonds, where he averaged just under 5 points followed by a switch to Coventry in 1995 where he posted figures of 5.31. His 1996 season was split between Coventry and Middlesbrough, while in 1997 he joined brother Scott at the Hull Vikings in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The following season he returned to the top flight riding once again for Coventry in the Elite League, where he spent four seasons as a five-point averaged rider before a big year in 2003 when he pushed his average for the Bees up to just under seven points from 47 matches. Chris Neath
} Christopher Maurice Neath (born 29 January 1982) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from England. He earned one international cap for the Great Britain national speedway team. Career Neath began riding when competing in youth grasstrack competitions, winning numerous ACU Championship titles, British, National and Best Pairs. He first began riding league speedway for the Newport Mavericks during the 1998 Speedway Conference League. The following season, he captained the Mavericks to the league title, in addition to riding for the Newport Wasps senior team in the Premier League and winning the Premier Trophy with them. David Peter Howe (born 1 March 1982) is a British former professional motorcycle speedway rider. Career Born in Leicester, England, David Howe started his career on 31 March 1997, aged 15, with the Peterborough Panthers team in the Conference League.
