2011 Korea Open
The 2011 Korea Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 8th edition of the Korea Open, and was part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2011 WTA Tour. It took place at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul, South Korea, from 19 September 25 September 2011. Sixth-seeded María José Martínez Sánchez won the singles title. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. Marion Bartoli
Marion Bartoli (; born 2 October 1984) is a French former professional tennis player. Bartoli won the 2013 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, 2013 Wimbledon Championships singles title, after previously being runner-up in 2007 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, 2007, and was a semifinalist at the 2011 French Open – Women's singles, 2011 French Open. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is an invitation to a tournament or a playoff berth awarded to a team or individual that does not qualify via an automatic bid.
