Juan Schiaretti
Juan Schiaretti (born June 19, 1949), known as ''El Gringo'', is an Argentine accountant and Justicialist Party politician. He was Governor of Córdoba Province from 2015 to 2023. Early life Schiaretti was born in Córdoba, Argentina, to Julia Álamo and Dante Schiaretti. His father was a railway worker and Peronist activist descended from immigrants from Parma. He was imprisoned after the military coup which toppled President Juan Perón in 1955. His mother is a housewife. Schiaretti studied at the Escuela Pública Nacional N°95, in the Talleres Oeste neighbourhood, then at the Liceo Militar General Paz, which he entered at eleven and left with the gold medal for best academic achievement of his group (1961 to 1965). Celso Jaque
Celso Alejandro Jaque (born September 24, 1960) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, former Argentine Ambassador to Colombia, former governor of Mendoza Province and a former senator. Born in Malargüe, Mendoza, Jaque graduated as an accountant at the National University of Cuyo. He joined the Justicialists in 1983, and was elected to the Provincial Legislature in 1991, serving until 1995, when he was elected Mayor of Malargüe. He was re-elected in 1999 and in 2003, was elected to the Argentine Senate. Jaque chaired the Federal revenue sharing committee until 2005, and the Infrastructure committee until 2007. He was elected Governor of Mendoza in October 2007, replacing Julio Cobos, who was elected Vice President of Argentina. Óscar Jorge
Óscar Mario Jorge (born 14 July 1936) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician who was governor of La Pampa Province from 2007 to 2015. Born in Caleufú, La Pampa Province, Jorge enrolled at the National University of La Pampa, and earned a degree in Accountancy. He taught in the discipline from 1965 to 1986, and served as Comptroller of the Province from 1973 to 1976. Jorge was appointed as provincial Economy Minister by governor Rubén Marín in 1983, serving until 1989, and was named Rector of the National University of La Pampa. He was elected as Mayor of Santa Rosa, capital of La Pampa, in 1991, and served for three consecutive terms until 2003. He was then appointed as President of the Bank of La Pampa. In 2007, Jorge beat his former mentor Rubén Marín in the Justicialist primary for the governorship of La Pampa. Eduardo Fellner
Eduardo Alfredo Fellner (born 16 June 1954) is an Argentine Peronist politician. He was President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and governor of Jujuy Province for two terms. Life and times Fellner was born in Río Tercero, Córdoba, and was raised in Villa Palpalá, Jujuy Province, where his father had found work in the Zapla steel mill, the country's oldest and largest. The young Fellner later relocated to Tucumán, where he earned a ''juris doctor'' at the Saint Thomas Aquinas University of the North. He returned to Jujuy in 1983, and was appointed Solicitor General of the province, later becoming District Attorney. The Secretary of Industry, Juan Schiaretti, named Fellner his Minister of Government during President Carlos Menem's 1993 Federal intervention decree over the governor's post in Santiago del Estero Province. Walter Barrionuevo
Walter Basilio Barrionuevo (born 28 February 1954) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, and governor of Jujuy Province. Born in Frías, Santiago del Estero Province, Barrionuevo enrolled at the National University of Tucumán, where he earned a law degree in 1976. He relocated to Jujuy Province, and between 1989 and 1990 was appointed Minister of Government, Justice, and Education by Governor Ricardo de Aparici. He returned to Santiago del Estero as President of the Supreme Justice Tribunal from 1994 to 1995. He was elected to the Jujuy Chamber of Deputies in 1995, and in 1999 was elected president of the Justicialist Party caucus. Gildo Insfrán
Gildo Insfrán (born 19 January 1951) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, who has been Governor of Formosa Province since 1995. Having been close to former President Carlos Menem, Insfrán later became close to President Néstor Kirchner, who defeated Menem in 2003 and was the leader of the Justicialist Party. In 1999 he arranged to have Formosa's provincial constitution revised to allow him to be reelected indefinitely. Insfrán has been the target of numerous corruption allegations by journalists, activists and politicians like Jorge Lanata. Sergio Urribarri
Sergio Daniel Urribarri (born 7 October 1958) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician and former governor of Entre Ríos Province. He was Argentina's ambassador to Israel from 2020 to 2022. In April 2022 he resigned from office after being sentenced to eight years and a perpetual ban from public office for the crimes of negotiations incompatible with public service and embezzlement.
