2011 Formula Nippon Championship
The 2011 Formula Nippon Championship was the thirty-ninth season of the premier Japanese open-wheel motor racing series. The series for Formula Nippon racing cars was contested over seven rounds. Teams and drivers * Drivers who participated in the non-championship round at Fuji Speedway. Race calendar and results * All races will be held in Japan. A non-championship round, entitled Super GT and Formula Nippon Sprint Cup 2011, will be held at the conclusion of the season. The opening round at Suzuka was rescheduled from 16–17 April to 14–15 May due to the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March. As a result, the first Twin Ring Motegi round scheduled for that weekend was rescheduled to 6 November with the originally scheduled Suzuka race moved forward to September. Tsugio Matsuda
is a Japanese professional racing driver. He has won the Formula Nippon series twice, in 2007 and 2008. He has also competed in the All-Japan Formula Three Championship. Suzuka Circuit
The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000. Introduction Soichiro Honda decided to develop a new permanent circuit in Mie prefecture in the late 1950s. Designed as a Honda test track in 1962 by Dutchman John "Hans" Hugenholtz, the most iconic feature of the track is its "figure eight" layout, with the long back straight passing over the front section by means of an overpass. It is one of only two FIA Grade 1 licensed tracks to have a "figure eight" layout, the other one being the Fiorano Circuit. Koudai Tsukakoshi
is a Japanese racing driver. Career Formula Three After competing in Formula Dream in 2004, Tsukakoshi moved into the All-Japan Formula Three Championship for the 2005 campaign. Competing for M Tec, Tsukakoshi finished his first season in fourteenth position. He moved to Honda Team Mugen for the 2006 season, finishing fifth in the standings, taking a victory at Suzuka. Another fifth place championship finish followed in 2007, as Tsukakoshi took two wins for Honda Team Real at Okayama and Suzuka. Dandelion Racing is a Japanese racing team, mainly running in Super Formula. The team was founded by Kiyoshi Muraoka in 1989 as "Dandelion Racing Project". Early years (1993-1998) The team made a small sponsor contract with NTT Docomo in 1993. It made a way to enter the Japanese local racing series. Kazuki Nakajima
is a retired Japanese professional racing driver who drove in Formula One for the Williams-Toyota team from to . In 2012 and 2014, he won the Super Formula Championship driving for TOM'S. is a Japanese racing driver. He has competed in such series as Super GT and the All-Japan Formula Three Championship. André Lotterer
André Lotterer (born 19 November 1981) is a German professional racing driver currently racing for Avalanche Andretti Formula E in the FIA Formula E Championship. He is best known for his success in endurance racing with the works Audi team, including three victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the drivers' title of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
