2011 Eurocup Clio
The 2011 Eurocup Clio season was the inaugural season of the Renault–supported touring car category, a one-make racing series that is part of the World Series by Renault, the series uses Renault Clio RS 197's. It replaced the French F4 Championship which ran for one season in 2010. Frenchman Nicolas Milan won the first season with ease by taking five wins and appearing on the podium in second for the other 3 races, comfortably ahead of Dutchman Mike Verschuur by 72 points, who in turn was ahead of third place Massimiliano Pedalà by 51 points. The series featured several different teams; however, there was no championship for teams. Nicolas Milan (Cenon, Gironde, France, 7 May 1980), is a French automobile racing driver. He specializes in single-brand touring car races. His 15 titles to date make him one of the best drivers in the history of the Renault Clio Cup, Clio Cup. Career Nicolas Milan began his career in motorsport in 1999, competing in the French Supertouring Championship with a Peugeot 306, Peugeot 306 GTI. In 2000, he opened his workshop in Clermont-Dessous. Between 2002 and 2006 he competed in the Peugeot Sport Meetings. In 2005 he won the Pirelli Trophy and the following year he finished as champion of the French Cup 206 RCC and in the 206 Sprint Cup. Eoin Murray
Eoin Murray is an Irish auto racing driver, born 9 December 1982. After winning the European Alfa Romeo 147 Challenge in 2005, he made his British Touring Car Championship, BTCC debut in the middle of 2006. Early years Murray had a successful career in karts, culminating in victory in the Formula A championship of 1999. He dabbled in rallycross that winter, winning 6 races. In 2000 he raced Fiats and Ford Fiestas in one-make championship, doing well enough to be nominated for the Young Irish Racing Driver of the Year award. In 2001 he did the full Fiesta UK Championship winning the Newcomers Cup and collecting 2 Pole Positions, 2 Fastest Laps & 8 Podium finishes. Massimiliano Pedalà (born 22 December 1969 in Cantù, Como) is an Italian auto racing driver. Career Early racing included the Italian Renault Mégane SportCup and the European Renault Clio RS Cup. In 2002 he competed in the Italian Alfa 147 Cup, finishing the season fourth on points. From 2004, he has raced in the Italian Renault Clio Cup, winning three successive titles in 2005,2006 and 2007. He also competed in some rounds of the Italian Superturismo Championship with a SEAT Toledo. Sebastiaan Bleekemolen (born 9 August 1978 in Haarlem) is a Dutch racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving for the family-owned Team Bleekemolen in the No. 69 Ford Mustang in the Elite 1 class.
