2011 Copa Centroamericana
The 2011 Copa Centroamericana () was the eleventh edition of Copa Centroamericana (formerly known as the UNCAF Nations Cup), an international association football, football championship for national teams affiliated with the Central American Football Union (UNCAF) of the CONCACAF region. It took place in Panama from January 14 to January 23, 2011. It was the second time for Panama to host the tournament. On January 23, 2011 Honduras won the cup by defeating Costa Rica 2-1 in the final. The top five teams from this tournament qualified for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The group stage draw was conducted on September 2, 2010 in Panama City. Jaime Enrique Alas Morales (born 30 July 1989) is a Salvadoran professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga Nacional club Guastatoya. Club career Alas' professional career began in July 2006, at the age of 16, when he signed a contract with the now defunct Salvadoran club San Salvador. Luis Gabriel Rentería (September 13, 1988 – March 6, 2014) was a Panamanian football forward, who played at the end of his professional career for Tauro in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol. Armando Enrique Cooper Whitaker (born 26 November 1987) is a Panamanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Cooper began his career in the youth ranks of Panama's Árabe Unido. Deris Ariel Umanzor Guevara (born 7 January 1980) is a retired Salvadoran professional footballer. Club career Deris Umanzor began his career in the youth system of Municipal Limeño and eventually moved up to the first team in 1998.
