The 2011 Belgian Super Cup is a football match that was played on 21 July 2011, between league winners Genk and the cup winners Standard Liège. Genk won the game one nil and with that won their first Super Cup, after already being on the losing end on five previous occasions. Standard Liège
Royal Standard de Liège, commonly referred to as Standard Liège (; nl, Standard Luik ; german: Standard Lüttich ) or simply Standard in Belgium, is a Belgian professional football club based in the city of Liège. Kevin De Bruyne (born 28 June 1991) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Manchester City and the Belgium national team. Antônio Eduardo Pereira dos Santos (born 3 May 1984), commonly known as Kanu, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a centre-back for Jacuipense. Marvin Ogunjimi (born 12 October 1987) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Until 2011, he played for the Belgium national team earning seven caps.
