AFC Challenge Cup
The AFC Challenge Cup was an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member countries that was categorized as "emerging countries" in the "Vision Asia" programme. "Vision Asia", created by former AFC president, Mohammed Bin Hammam, is the AFC's plan for a continent wide programme to raise the standards of Asian football at all levels. The AFC Challenge Cup, which reflected the philosophy of Vision Asia, was created for teams to experience playing in a continental competition with the possibility to win an AFC trophy and to potentially discover new talent. The inaugural tournament was hosted by Bangladesh in 2006 and was held biennially. An amendment to men's national team competitions in July 2006, meant that starting with the 2008 and 2010 editions of the AFC Challenge Cup, the winners automatically qualify for the AFC Asian Cup. Yang Jun (; born 10 June 1981 in Tianjin) is a Chinese footballer. Club career Yang Jun was considered an outstanding young talented goalkeeper and was quickly spotted by the Chinese youth system before top tier side Qingdao Yizhong Hainiu took him into their side and promoted him into their senior side by the 2001 league season. At Qingdao, who had changed their name to Qingdao Jonoon, he would not have to wait long before he would establish himself as a team regular by the end of the 2002 league season when he made twenty league appearances at the end of the season. Yang Hao (; born 19 August 1983) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for China League One club Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic as a central midfielder. Club career Yang Hao started his football career with Beijing Guoan after graduating from their youth academy during the 2001 league season. He would gradually establish himself within the following season at Beijing as an attacking midfielder who was also capable in playing as a striker. Chen Jianlong (; born 14 May 1989) is a professional Chinese footballer who currently plays as a defender for Meizhou Kejia in the China League One. Club career Chen Jianlong would play for the Guangzhou Pharmaceutical youth team before going on loan to third-tier club Guangdong Sunray Cave to being his senior career in the 2007 Chinese league season. Gao Zhilin (; born 8 January 1991) is a Chinese footballer. Club career Gao Zhilin started his football career in 2008 when he was loaned to Hong Kong First Division League side Sheffield United (Hong Kong) from Chengdu Blades. He transferred to Guangzhou Evergrande in 2010 and was promoted to the first team in 2011. Hu Zhaojun
Hu Zhaojun (; ) is a Chinese football player. Club career Hu Zhaojun is a defensive midfielder who started his career with Dalian Shide in 1999 where in his debut season he made six appearances. He subsequently established himself as a regular where he was known for his outstanding long-range shooting ability and excellent free kicks. During his time with Dalian he would play with one of the dominant teams in China and subsequently played a role in several league title wins. Tang Dechao (; born February 9, 1984) is a Chinese former football player. Zheng Zhi (; born 20 August 1980) is a Chinese professional footballer and manager who played most of his career for Chinese Super League club Guangzhou F.C., becoming their captain and serving also as their caretaker manager in two stints.
