2010–11 Maltese Second Division
The 2010–11 Maltese Second Division started in September 2010 and will end in May 2011. St. Patrick and San Gwann were relegated from the 2009–10 Maltese First Division. Zejtun Corinthians, Mgarr United and Naxxar Lions were promoted from 2009–10 Maltese Third Division. Maltese Second Division
The Maltese Second Division (also known as the BOV Second Division due to sponsorship reasons) was the third-highest division in Maltese football until 2020 when it was merged with the Maltese Third Division to create the National Amateur League. Structure 13 clubs formed the league and each played every other club twice. Three points were awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. At the end of the season, the top two teams were promoted to the First Division, while the bottom two were relegated to the Third Division. Ta' Qali
Ta' Qali is a wide open space in the limits of Attard and Mosta in central and northern Malta respectively, which contains the national football stadium, the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre, Ta' Qali National Park, a crafts village, and a national vegetable market which is locally known as the ''Pitkalija''. Shortly before World War II, the area was used to build a military aerodrome and a station for the Royal Air Force (RAF), which the British called RAF Ta Kali; Maltese place names were often corrupted in this fashion. RAF Ta Kali was operational throughout the war and continued to be used as an RAF airfield until the mid-1950s. 2010–11 Maltese Third Division
The Maltese Third Division 2010–11 (known as BOV 3rd Division 2010-11 due to sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of the Maltese Third Division. The season began on 26 September 2010 and concluded on 15 May 2011 with the promotion play-offs final. Gozo, Gharghur and Santa Venera were relegated from the Maltese Second Division 2009-10. This is the debut season of Marsaskala. League Changes The Maltese Third Division is divided into two sections; Section A consisting of 11 teams and Section B with 10 teams. Gozo FC
Gozo Football Club was a Maltese football club based on the island of Gozo. Gozo FC was founded in 1987. The club was disbanded following the end of the 2010-2011 season. Gozo FC was run by the Gozo Football Association. It represented the island of Gozo in the Maltese Leagues. Its squad was formed of Gozitan players who play their trade in the Gozitan Leagues, mainly in the First Division. Their home matches were held at the Gozo Stadium.
