2010–11 Jordan FA Cup
The 2010–11 version of the Jordan FA Cup was the 31st edition to be played. It is the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Jordan. Team Al-Faisaly (Amman) went into this edition as the club with the most wins, at 16. Al Wahdat were the current holders and won it the Cup the second straight time. The cup winners were guaranteed a place in the 2012 AFC Cup. Jordan FA Cup
The Jordan FA Cup (), also known as the Jordan Cup – CFI () for sponsorship reasons, is Jordan's premier Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament in men's football (soccer), Al-Faisaly FC (Amman), Al-Faisaly have the record for the most FA Cup wins in their history with a total of 21 titles, followed by Al-Wehdat SC, Al-Wehdat with 11. Al Hussein Irbid
Al-Hussein Sport Club () is a professional football club based in Irbid which competes in the Jordanian Pro League. The club achieved two Jordanian Pro League titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25, in addition to achieving three Jordan FA Shield titles, and two Jordan Super Cup titles. History Al-Hussein Irbid was established in 1964, followed by promotion to the Jordan League in 1975. Their first participation in regional competitions was in the 1993 Arab Club Champions Cup. They later competed at the 2005 AFC Cup, winning their group and reaching the quarter-finals. Away Goals Rule
The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals " away from home" wins the tiebreaker. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total. Al-Wehdat Sports Club () is a Jordanian sports club founded in 1956. They compete in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. The club is based in and represents the Amman New Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp also known as Al-Wehdat. Their home games are played at King Abdullah II Stadium (cap. 13,265). History The club was founded in 1956 under the name Al-Wehdat Youth Center. In 1974, they changed their name to Al-Wehdat Sports Club and have been called that since then (with the exception of 1986–1989 when it was named Al-Diffatain Sports Club.) Penalty Shootout (association Football)
In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) has expired. For example, in a FIFA World Cup, penalties are used in elimination matches; the round of 32, the round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and the final. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Kufrsoum Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club which is based in the village of Kufr Soum, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football. History Kufrsoum Sports Club was established in 1973, when a group of young people from the village of Kufr Soum sought to establish a sports club, to which the club began its activities in football, handball, volleyball, athletics, and table tennis once they were granted approval. It played its first competitive match in 1975 against Al-Wehdat in the Second Division. It gained its first promotion to the First Division in 1993. Al-Faisaly Sports Club () is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman. Founded in 1932, the club competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. Nicknamed "the Blue Eagles", they were founded as Al-Ashbal Club in 1932.
