The 2010–11 FC Karpaty Lviv season was the 48th season in club history. Review and events On 2 June 2010 FC Karpaty gathered at club's base for medical inspection after vacations. The club went to two-week training camp in Austria on 21 June 2010 with three friendly matches scheduled. Football Club Karpaty Lviv ( ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Lviv. In 2020–21 the club was reorganized and changed owner. During that period there existed two clubs with the same name, one at professional level competitions, another at amateur. History Early years (1963–68) The team of Karpaty was founded on 18 January, 1963. In 1961 Silmash Lviv won the championship of Lviv Oblast but lost its promotional play-off against Naftovyk Drohobych to qualify for the Soviet Class B championship. In 1962 Silmash Lviv won the championship and cup of the Lviv Oblast (see Lviv Oblast Football Federation) and won the promotional play-offs against Naftovyk, obtaining the rights to participate in the Soviet Class B championship ( Soviet First League). Ihor Yaroslavovych Khudobyak (; born 20 February 1985) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for POX in Cyprus. Club career Khudobyak was born on 20 February 1985 in Ivano-Frankivsk. Before joining Karpaty, Khudobyak played for the club Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk. In Lviv he quickly secured a place in first team and became one of the fan favorites.
