2010–11 Bermudian Premier Division
The 2010-11 Bermudian Premier Division is the 48th season of the highest competitive football league in Bermuda, which was founded in 1963. Dandy Town Hornets are the defending champions, having won their fifth league championship last season. Teams Hamilton Parish and Somerset Trojans were relegated to the Bermuda First Division after finishing last season in ninth and tenth place. Bermudian Premier Division
The Bermudian Premier Division (officially the Digicel Premier Division for sponsorship reasons) is the highest level of professional football in Bermuda. Teams in this league (currently ten) compete for the national title and theoretically can claim a spot in the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield, although there has not yet been a Bermudian entry. The Bermudian clubs who participated in CONCACAF Champions' Cup (the predecessor to the CONCACAF Champions League), qualified in the North American zone (when zone qualifiers were used), last appearing in 1992. The bottom two teams at the end of each season are relegated to the First Division. Somerset Trojans
Somerset Cricket Club Trojans is a Bermudian football club based in Somerset that competes in the Bermudian Premier Division. History Trojans were formed in 1964 after a merger between ''West End Rovers'' and 2nd division ''Somerset Colts''. Rovers were founded as ''West End SC'' in the 1930s. They are Bermuda's most successful team, winning the league a record 10 times. In April 2015, Trojans won their first league title in 22 years and their tenth in total after beating Southampton Rangers 3–0. Southampton Rangers Sports Club is a Bermudian football club based in the parish of Southampton who participate in the Bermudian First Division. They play their home games at the Southampton Oval. History Founded in the 1950s, the club has won the league title once, in 1981. Somerset Village, Bermuda
Somerset Village is a small, unincorporated village in the northwest area of Bermuda, located in Sandys Parish. It lies in the northern half of Somerset Island. Like Flatts Village and Tucker's Town, the settlement has existed for centuries, though a lack of formal borders and municipal government means its foundation is undated, and when, precisely, the area came to be commonly thought of as a village is not clear. The village centres on the southern shore of Mangrove Bay, and was once a useful, if minor port. Today, the area includes a bank, a police station, post office, ferry station (on the Great Sound, beside Watford Bridge), library, a number of shops, small hotels, pubs and restaurants, and a boat club. There is also a bus depot as the village is the terminus of a number of bus routes. Southampton Parish, Bermuda
Southampton Parish is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. It is named for Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton (1573-1624). It is located in the southwest of the island chain, occupying all of the western part of the main island, except for the westernmost tip (which is part of Sandys Parish). It includes the chain's southernmost point, and its north coast comprises much of the coast of the Little Sound (an arm of the Great Sound, the large expanse of water which dominates the geography of western Bermuda). in the east it is joined to Warwick Parish. Devonshire Parish is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. Originally named ''Cavendish Tribe'' and later Devonshire Tribe, for William Cavendish, 1st Earl of Devonshire (1552–1626). ''Devonshire Redoubt'', on Castle Island, one of the Castle Harbour fortifications of St. George's Parish, was also named after him. Pembroke Parish, Bermuda
Pembroke Parish is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. It is named after English aristocrat William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke (1580–1630). It occupies most of the short peninsula which juts from the central north coast of Bermuda's main island, and surrounds the city of Hamilton on three sides (the fourth being taken up by the shore of Hamilton Harbour). As such, its shape bears some passing resemblance to the county of Pembrokeshire in Wales. The peninsula juts into the eastern side of the Great Sound, the large expanse of water which dominates the geography of western Bermuda. In the east, Pembroke meets Devonshire Parish. Bermuda First Division
The Bermuda First Division is the second level of professional Association football, football in Bermuda. The competition had nine participants in the 2019/2020 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as happened in the first division, the last round of the competition was cancelled. The 0–0 score was recorded in all games in the round. The title of champion of the 2019–20 season was shared between the Devonshire Colts F.C. and Saint George's Colts F.C. teams, who finished the competition with the same score and goal difference. The two teams also gained access to the Bermudian Premier Division.
