The 2010 Japan Open Super Series was a top level badminton competition which was held from September 21, 2010 to September 26, 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. It was the seventh BWF Super Series competition on the 2010 BWF Super Series schedule. The total purse for the event was $200,000. Matthieu Lo Ying Ping (,born 3 August 1986) is a French badminton player. Born to a Chinese father and a French mother, He started playing badminton at aged 10 at the Union St Bruno Club in Bordeaux, 4 years later he joined Espoir de Talence Bordeaux and when he was 18 he joined the France national badminton team at INSEP. Sho Sasaki
is a Japanese retired badminton player from Tonami Transportation badminton team. He competed at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics. He also competed in four Asian Games from 2002 to 2014. Career In 2007 he won the Japanese National Championships in men's singles, and 7 international tournaments: the Bahrain Satellite Badminton Tournament, the Banuinvest International Championships, the Osaka International Challenge, the Israel International, the Mauritius International, the Victorian International and the Italian International. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he reached the quarter-finals of the men's singles, losing to Lin Dan. In 2016, he did not advance to the knock-out stage after placing second in the group stage. He beat Petr Koukal of the Czech Republic, but was defeated by Rajiv Ouseph of Great Britain. In 2017, he announced his retirement from the international badminton event. Park Sung-hwan
Park Sung-hwan (Hangul: 박성환; Hanja: 朴成煥; born September 4, 1984 in Jeju-do) is a badminton player from South Korea. Park is the top-ranked men's singles player in South Korea and has succeeded at an international level, winning individual medals at both the 2010 World Championships and the 2010 Asian Games. Chou Tien-chen
Chou Tien-chen ( Chinese: 周天成; born 8 January 1990) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. Son Wan-ho (Hangul: 손완호; or ; born 17 May 1988) is a South Korean badminton player. He reached a career high as world number 1 in the men's singles in May 2017. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He plays primarily defensively, and began playing badminton after a teacher suggested it to him in elementary school. Hu Yun (; born 31 August 1981) is a retired badminton player representing Hong Kong since 2006. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, and also 2016 Rio Olympics. Born in Wuhan, Hubei, China, Hu started playing badminton in 1988, and participated in local province badminton teams at an early age. Alamsyah Yunus (born 7 July 1986) is an Indonesian badminton player from JR Enkei Bekasi club. Career In 2003, Yunus has won the national junior tournament, and in 2005 he was the runner-up at the National Championships. Brice Leverdez (born 9 April 1986) is a French badminton player. He was a champion at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, won a silver medal at the 2015 European Games, and a bronze medal at the 2018 European Championships. Chen Long (; ; born 18 January 1989), is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is the 2016 Olympic champion, two-time World champion, and an Asian champion. Chen was a former World number 1, occupying the top men's singles ranking for 76 consecutive weeks from December 2014 to June 2016.
