2010 German GP2 Round
The 2010 German GP2 round was a GP2 Series motor race held on July 24 and 25, 2010 at Hockenheimring in Hockenheim, Germany. It was the sixth round of the 2010 GP2 Season. The race was used to support the 2010 German Grand Prix. The round marked the return to Hockenheim after the Nürburgring held the previous year's event, due to the German Grand Prix rotation. Report Feature Race Pastor Maldonado extended his GP2 Series points lead by claiming his fourth victory of the season in the feature race at Hockenheim. The Rapax driver took the lead at the start when polesitter Charles Pic (Arden) was slow off the line, and aside from one lap during the pitstop cycle he led the entire race from there on. Addax's Sergio Pérez gave Maldonado some trouble during the first stint, but all of the Mexican's attempts to get past were easily defended. Hockenheimring
The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg () is a motor racing circuit situated in the Rhine valley near the town of Hockenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Amongst other motor racing events, it has hosted the German Grand Prix, most recently in 2019. The circuit has very little differences in elevation. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license. History 1932–1938 Originally called "Dreieckskurs" (triangle course), the Hockenheimring was built in 1932. The man behind it is Ernst Christ, a young timekeeper who felt that a racing track should be built in his hometown of Hockenheim. Daniel Clos Álvarez (born 23 October 1988) is a Spanish professional racecar driver who was, in 2012, the test driver for the now defunct HRT Formula One team. The 2010 Silverstone GP2 Series round was a GP2 Series motor race held on July 10 and 11, 2010 at Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, Britain. It was the fifth round of the 2010 GP2 Series. Mike Conway (born 19 August 1983) is a British professional racing driver. He lives in Sevenoaks, Kent and is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Toyota Gazoo Racing. Ho-Pin Tung (; born December 4, 1982) is a Chinese-Dutch racing driver who races with a Chinese license. Career Born in Velp, Gelderland, Netherlands, Tung started kart racing in the Netherlands in 1997 before graduating to single-seaters. In 2001 he raced in the Dutch Formula Ford championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. After winning the 2003 Formula BMW Asia series, he was rewarded with a test drive with the Williams F1 team.
