2010 Generali Ladies Linz
The 2010 Generali Ladies Linz was a women's tennis tournament played on Tennis court#Indoor courts, indoor hard courts. It was the 24th edition of the Generali Ladies Linz, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2010 WTA Tour. It was held at the TipsArena Linz in Linz, Austria, from October 9 through October 17, 2010. World No. 1 Serena Williams was due to make her comeback from foot surgery at this tournament, but she withdrew after reaggregating the injury at training. Her original wildcard slot was therefore given to Ana Ivanovic. Agnieszka Radwańska also withdrew from the tournament due to a stress fracture in her foot. Ivanovic won the title, defeating Patty Schnyder in the championship match which lasted 47 minutes; it was the shortest championship match of the season. The Linz Open, currently sponsored by Generali Gruppe, is a women's tennis tournament held in Linz, Austria. It is played on indoor hardcourts. The inaugural event took place in 1987 in Wels, Austria and was organized by the ITF as a $10,000 tournament. Starting 1991, it has been organized in Linz as a WTA Tour event, initially on the Tier V-level. In 1993 it got promoted to Tier III-level, and since 1998 it was organized as a Tier II-tournament. Since the 2009 edition it is designated as a WTA International Tournament. Katarina Srebotnik
Katarina Srebotnik (born 12 March 1981) is a Slovenian retired professional tennis player. She reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 20 on 7 August 2006. On 4 July 2011, she reached No. 1 of the WTA doubles rankings, holding this ranking for 10 weeks. Srebotnik won four singles titles on the WTA Tour and was ranked inside the top 30 for several years. Květa Peschke
Květoslava Peschke (née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech retired professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 26 in November 2005, winning one WTA singles title in Makarska in 1998, but achieved most of her success in doubles. Peschke claimed her first Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Katarina Srebotnik. Sesil Radoslavova Karatantcheva ( bg, Сесил Радославова Каратанчева; born 8 August 1989) is a Bulgarian former tennis player. In her career, she won nine singles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Sybille Bammer (born 27 April 1980) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Her career-high ranking is No. 19, which she achieved on 17 December 2007.
