2010 Eurocup Mégane Trophy
The 2010 Eurocup Mégane Trophy season was the sixth Eurocup Mégane Trophy season. The season began at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on 1 May and finished at the Circuit de Catalunya on 10 October, after seven rounds and fourteen scheduled races. The races tally was reduced to thirteen, after the opening race of the championship was cancelled due to technical problems at Spa-Francorchamps, and was not rescheduled. Eleven top-two finishes – including seven victories – from the thirteen races gave TDS Racing's Nick Catsburg the championship title, for the team's second drivers' championship crown in three seasons. Team-mate and twice race winner Pierre Thiriet finished 27 points behind Catsburg in second place, and Stefano Comini, a three-time winner, finished third in the standings. Eurocup Mégane Trophy
The Renault Eurocup Mégane Trophy was a one-make racing series created and managed by Renault Sport. The series has raced with the Renault Mégane Renault Sport since 2005 as part of the World Series by Renault. The Renault Eurocup has run with various models under differing names since 1976. Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree Motor Racing Circuit, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. Silverstone
Silverstone is a village and civil parish in the West Northamptonshire unitary authority area of Northamptonshire, England. The village is about south-southwest of Towcester and northeast of Brackley, both accessed via the A43 road, A43 main road which now bypasses Silverstone to the south and east. The village is also about south-southwest of Northampton, west-northwest of Milton Keynes, and east-northeast of Banbury. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,176. Hockenheimring
The Hockenheimring, officially Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg () is a motor racing circuit situated in the Rhine valley near the town of Hockenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Amongst other motor racing events, it has hosted the German Grand Prix, most recently in 2019. The circuit is nearly flat. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 licence. Hockenheim () is a town in northwest Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about 20 km south of Mannheim and 10 km west of Walldorf. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix motor racing, Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the People's Park (Budapest), Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit.
