2010 All-Pacific-10 Conference Football Team
The 2010 All-Pacific-10 Conference football team consists of American football players chosen by various organizations for All-Pacific-10 Conference teams for the 2010 Pacific-10 Conference football season. The Oregon Ducks won the conference, posting a 9–0 conference record. Oregon then lost to SEC champion Auburn Tigers in the BCS National Championship game 22 to 19. Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck was voted Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year. Oregon State defensive tackle Stephen Paea was voted Pat Tillman Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Jacquizz "Quizz" Rodgers (born February 6, 1990) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Oregon State, and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. High school career Rodgers attended Lamar Consolidated High School, where he played for the Mustangs football team. He broke out during his sophomore season with 2,278 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns averaging 9.4 yards per carry. In his junior season, he improved with 2,592 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns. As a senior, Rodgers led the Mustangs to the 2007 4A Division 1 State Football Championship. Tyron Jerrar Smith (born December 12, 1990) is an American football offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at USC where he won the Morris Trophy, recognizing the best offensive and defensive linemen on the West Coast, in 2010. Chase Beeler (born December 28, 1986) is a former American football center for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Stanford University, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. The San Francisco 49ers signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2011. David William DeCastro (born January 11, 1990) is a former American football guard. He played college football for Stanford University, and earned unanimous All-American honors. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and he was considered one of the best guard prospects available. Early years DeCastro was born in Kirkland, Washington.
