The 2009–10 Cypriot Second Division was the 55th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. It started in September 2009 and finished in May 2010. Alki Larnaca won their 4th title. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. In the reserve teams were allowed to participate only players that had no more than three caps with their team in First Division. The reserve teams won all the titles of the unofficial period. ASIL Lysi
ASIL Lysi () is a Cypriot football club which was established in the town of Lysi, Famagusta. After the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, ASIL became a refugee team and is temporarily based in Larnaca. The club plays in the . History The club was founded in Lysi, Famagusta on June 26, 1932. Club founders were Ch. Fokaides, Ch. Panayides, K. Rousi and N. Petrou. The choice for the club's name is attributed to Demetris Lambrou. The club had its own stadium in Lysi. The stadium was called «Grigoris Afxentiou Stadium» as a memory of EOKA hero Grigoris Afxentiou who was born in Lysi and he was a player of ASIL. ASIL stadium was one of the first stadiums in Cyprus with grass. After the 1974 Turkish invasion, ASIL used Tsirion Stadium in Limassol as its ground and since 1978 the club is based in Larnaca. Radmilo Ivančević ( sr-cyr, Радмило Иванчевић; born 4 September 1950) is a Serbian football manager and former footballer. Neo GSZ Stadium
GCZ Stadium or Gymnastic Club Zenon Stadium (; Γ.Σ.Ζ., ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Larnaca, Cyprus. Usually it is referred to as the 'neo GSZ Stadium' to distinguish it from the old GSZ Stadium, which it replaced. It is currently used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of AEK Larnaca FC until 2016. The stadium holds 13,032 people. Its owner is the Gymnastic Club Zeno, which was named after the native philosopher of Larnaca Zeno of Citium. Before the merge of Pezoporikos and EPA Larnaca into the new football club AEK Larnaca FC, it was also the home of those two clubs. In 2006 it hosted the Cypriot Cup final between APOEL and AEK Larnaca FC, where APOEL won 3–2. However the greatest event that was hosted in the Larnaca Stadium was the final for the 1998 UEFA European Under-18 Football Championship between the Republic of Ireland and Germany where they tied 1-1. Andreas Michaelides (; born in Limassol on 28 December 1952) is a Cypriot football manager, the president of Cypriot Managers Federation, and member of the House of Representatives of Cyprus. He started his coaching career at 1979, and during the season 2010–11, after he was appointed Apollon Limassol manager, he made a domestic record, becoming the first manager in charge of all major teams in Cyprus.
