2009–10 Coppa Titano
The 2009-10 Coppa Titano was the fiftieth season of San Marino's oldest Association football, football competition. It began on 12 September 2009 with the first games of the Group Stage and ended in 2010 with the Final held at Stadio Olimpico (Serravalle), Stadio Olimpico, Serravalle (San Marino), Serravalle. A.C. The San Marino Stadium (formerly Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle) is a multi-purpose stadium in Serravalle, San Marino. First opened in 1969, it is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the national stadium of San Marino. Overview The stadium was named "olympic" in 1985, on the occasion of the first Games of the Small States of Europe sponsored by the International Olympic Committee. From 1969 till 2019, the stadium was used by ASD Victor San Marino for its home games. It was also used by Serravalle-based football club A.C. In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) has expired. For example, in a FIFA World Cup, penalties are used in elimination matches; the round of 32, the round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and the final. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper.
