2009 Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden
The 2009 Rabo Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden was the 12th edition of the Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden, a women's cycling stage race in the Netherlands. It was part of the 2009 women's road cycling season. It was rated by the UCI as a category 2.2 race and was held between 20 and 22 June 2009. Ina-Yoko Teutenberg
: Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (born 28 October 1974) is a German former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2000 and 2013 for the Red Bull Frankfurt, Saturn Cycling Team and teams. She took over 200 wins during her career, including 11 stages of the Giro Rosa, the 2009 Tour of Flanders, and being part of the team that won the World Team Time Trial Championship in 2012. She now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Team . Career Born in Düsseldorf, West Germany, Teutenberg began racing bicycles at age 6, alongside her two brothers Sven Teutenberg and Lars Teutenberg. She competed for Germany at the 2000 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Teutenberg retired from competition in 2013, after suffering concussion in a serious accident that year. Liesbet De Vocht
Liesbet De Vocht (born 5 January 1979) is a Belgian former road bicycle racer. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, finishing 9th and in the Women's time trial and finishing 23rd in the race. She retired at the end of the 2014 season. Westkapelle, Netherlands
Westkapelle is a small city in the municipality of Veere on the island Walcheren, in the province Zeeland of the Netherlands. On 1 January 2021, it had a population of 2,632. Westkapelle is on the westernmost tip of Walcheren and is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Westkapelle was a separate municipality from 1816 until 1997, when it was merged with Veere. Second World War On 3 October 1944, the dyke to the south of town was destroyed by British bombersan event still known in Westkapelle simply as "'t Bombardement" ("the Bombardment")to flood the German occupation troops in Walcheren and so make liberation easier. 180 inhabitants were killed in the bombing and the village was all but wiped off the face of the earth by the bombs and the incoming sea. Emma Mackie (born 9 September 1984) is a road cyclist from Australia. She represented her nation at the 2009 UCI Road World Championships. Australian football Mackie successfully changed sports, winning Box Hill's best and fairest for the 2017 VFL Women's season. She played three games with in the 2018 AFL Women's season, and was named team captain for Hawthorn Football Club's inaugural VFL Women's season in 2018. Loes Markerink (born 14 December 1985 in Delfzijl) is a road cyclist from the Netherlands. She won at the 2003 UCI Road World Championships the junior women's road race and finished second in the women's junior time trial. Elizabeth Mary Deignan (née Armitstead; born 18 December 1988) is an English professional world champion track and road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She was the 2015 World road race champion. Leontien Martha Henrica Petronella Zijlaard-van Moorsel (born 22 March 1970) is a Dutch retired racing cyclist. She was a dominant cyclist in the 1990s and early 2000s, winning four gold medals at the Olympic Games and holding the hour record for women from 2003 until 2015. Chloe Hosking (born 1 October 1990) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Hosking has represented Australia at junior and then senior levels since 2007. Following success in a number of international events she turned professional in 2010.
