2009 Speedway Grand Prix Of Denmark
The 2009 FIM Speedway World Championship Grand Prix of Denmark was the fourth race of the 2009 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took take place on 13 June 2009 in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Grand Prix was won by Australian Jason Crump who beat American Greg Hancock, Pole Tomasz Gollob and Danish wild card Niels Kristian Iversen in the final. It was Crump's second Grand Prix win of the 2009 season. Riders The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Niels Kristian Iversen as the wild card and Patrick Hougaard and Nicolai Klindt as the first and second track reserves. Kenneth Bjerre Jensen (born 24 May 1984 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is a Danish international motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 17 caps for the Denmark national speedway team. Career Bjerre began his Polish league career in 2001 for Ostrów. The following season he began his career in Britain when he joined the Newcastle Diamonds for the 2002 Premier League speedway season. Over the following decade he would become a heat leader for both Belle Vue Aces (2004 to 2006) and Peterborough Panthers (2007 to 2010). Damian Baliński (born 5 August 1977, in Poland) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned two international caps for the Poland speedway team. Career He was a member of the Poland national speedway team. Remarkably, in 29 seasons of Polish speedway he has only ridden for three clubs Unia Leszno, Rybnik and Rawicz. Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. He has won the silver medal and the bronze medal twice at the Speedway World Championship, in addition to the world team championship in 2015. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden. Rune Holta (born 29 August 1973 in Stavanger, Norway) is a speedway rider. He grew up in Randaberg, Norway, but has been a Polish citizen since 2002. Career In 1994, Holta finished runner-up to Mikael Karlsson in the final of the 1994 Speedway Under-21 World Championship following a run-off for the title. This was the same year that Holta won the first of his four Norwegian Individual Speedway Championships.
