2009 Seattle Seahawks Season
The 2009 Seattle Seahawks season was the franchise's 34th season in the National Football League (NFL), the 8th playing their home games at CenturyLink Field, Qwest Field and the first and only season under head coach Jim L. Mora, Jim Mora. The Seahawks slightly improved from their 4–12 record and a third-place finish in what was Mike Holmgren's final season coaching the team in 2008 and finished with a 5–11 record. However, Mora was fired January 8, 2010. Robert "Rocky" Eugene Bernard Jr. (born April 19, 1979) is an American former professional football defensive tackle. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL draft. Maurice Autora Morris (born December 1, 1979) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL). Mike DeBord (February 7, 1956 – April 15, 2025) was an American college football coach who was a longtime assistant for the Michigan Wolverines and a head coach for the Central Michigan Chippewas. Jim Lind (born November 11, 1947) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Minnesota Morris from 1983 to 1986 and at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire from 1987 to 1991, compiling a career college football record of 42–43–4. Lind served in the United States Navy before attending Bemidji State University, where he played football and received a physical education and health degree in 1973.
