2009 Polish Super Cup
The 2009 Polish Super Cup, known then as the 2009 Ekstraklasa Super Cup, was held on 27 July 2009 between the 2008–09 Ekstraklasa winners Wisła Kraków and the 2008–09 Polish Cup winners Lech Poznań. Lech Poznań won the match on penalties after the match finished 1–1, winning the trophy for the fourth time in their history. Lubin Stadium
The Lubin Stadium (), branded as KGHM Zagłębie Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium located in Lubin, Poland. It is the home ground of Zagłębie Lubin. The stadium holds 16,068 people. The old multi-use stadium was built on 22 July 1985 with a capacity of 35,000. Construction of a new stadium started on 18 September 2007. Zagłębie played its first official match in the new stadium on 14 March 2009 against Górnik Łęczna. Only three stands were opened. The main stand was finished in 2010. Stadium characteristic The new stadium was built in the same place where the old stadium was located. Its construction began on September 18, 2007. Stands of the old stadium opened in 1985 were created on artificial hills. The large part (about 65%) of them, was demolished in the early stage of construction. Arkadiusz Rafał Głowacki (; born 13 March 1979) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Głowacki made his Ekstraklasa debut on 7 May 1997 in a match against Amica Wronki. In 2000, he moved to Wisła Kraków from Lech Poznań. Tomáš Jirsák (born 29 June 1984) is a Czech footballer who plays as a midfielder for Sokol České Heřmanice. Mariusz Pawełek (born 17 March 1981) is a Polish footballer. A goalkeeper throughout most of his professional career, he now plays as a forward for Silesia Lubomia, where he also serves as chairman.
