2009 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2009 Norwegian Football Cup was the 104th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The competition started with two qualifying rounds on 13 April and 22 April, and the final was held on 8 November. The defending champions were Vålerenga. The winners of the Cup, Aalesund, could call themselves ''Champions of Norway'', and qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League. Aalesunds Fotballklubb, commonly known as Aalesund or AaFK, is a Norwegian professional association football, football club from the town of Ålesund (town), Ålesund, that competes in the Norwegian first division, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 25 June 1914. As of 2004, the football club had 835 members and several teams on both professional and amateur levels. Løv-Ham Fotball
Løv-Ham Fotball is a football club from Fyllingsdalen in Bergen, Norway. Its origins are two local sports teams in Fyllingsdalen called ''Løvåsen'' and ''Hamre''. On 29 December 1975 those clubs were merged, choosing the name Løv-Ham. In March 1999 Løv-Ham was divided into a football division, Løv-Ham Fotball, and a handball division, Løv-Ham Håndball. Løv-Ham is most notable as a football club, with more than 600 members. The senior football team played in 1. divisjon, the second tier of Norwegian football from 2005 until 2011 1. divisjon. Fjøra FK
Fjøra Fotballklubb is a Norwegian association football club from Sogndalsfjøra, Vestland. Fjøra FK was founded in January 1974 as a local alternative for players who did not make the first team of Sogndal IL. Fjøra and played in green jerseys to emulate another local club, Kaupanger IL, whose name was also loaned by the new club. It was not until late 1979 that the name Fjøra was introduced, having won an internal vote where the closest contender was Fosshaugane. The men's team plays in the Third Division, the fourth tier of Norwegian football. The men's team started out in the sixth tier, won promotion to the fifth tier in 1977 and the fourth tier in 1983. Valdres Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club based in Fagernes, Valdres. The men's team currently plays in the Fifth Division, the sixth tier of the Norwegian football league system; whereas the women's team currently plays in the Third Division. Tromsdalen UIL
Tromsdalen UIL is a Norwegian sports club founded in 1938, from Tromsdalen in the municipality of Tromsø. It has sections for football, athletics, skiing and gymnastics. The men's football team plays in 2. divisjon, the third level in Norwegian football. Their home games are played at Tromsdalen Stadion, which seats 3,000 spectators. Their colors are red and blue. Bossekop Ungdomslag is a Norwegian sports club from Bossekop in Alta Municipality in Finnmark county. It has sections for association football, team handball, speed skating and Nordic skiing. FK Tønsberg was a football club from the city of Tønsberg in Tønsberg Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway, founded on 10 October 2001 as a cooperation project between 20 local clubs. Asker Fotball is the football department of Norwegian sports club Asker SK from Asker. The women's football team is one of the most successful clubs ever in Norway, with six top flight championships and five cup championships. Due to financial difficulties at the end of 2008, the team's licence to play in the Toppserien was revoked; the team members then joined Stabæk IF's football group, Stabæk Fotball, which set up a new women's team.
