The 2009 Netball Superleague Grand Final featured Team Bath and Galleria Mavericks. Having previously played each other in both the 2006 and 2007 grand finals, this was third final that featured Team Bath and Mavericks. This was Team Bath's third grand final and Mavericks fourth. As with the two previous encounters, it was Team Bath that emerged as winners. The Mavericks netted 46 of their 52 chances, while Team Bath claimed 54 from 62. 2008–09 Netball Superleague Season
The 2008–09 Netball Superleague season (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-operative Netball Superleague) was the fourth season of the Netball Superleague. The league was won by Team Bath. For a third season out of four, Team Bath defeated Galleria Mavericks in the grand final. The Superleague expanded to nine teams, with the addition of Glasgow Wildcats, the first team from Scotland. Team Bath (netball) Matches
TeamBath is the University of Bath's sporting organisation. In addition to entering teams in BUCS intervarsity competitions, TeamBath has also entered teams in national leagues and competitions. Team Bath F.C. reached the first round proper of the 2002–03 FA Cup. They become the first university team to reach this stage since Oxford University A.F.C. in 1880. In 2005–06 the netball team were both founder members and the inaugural champions of the Netball Superleague. They were Superleague champions again in 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2013. Netball is a ball sport played on a court by two teams of seven players. It is among a rare number of sports which have been created exclusively for female competitors. The sport is played on indoor and outdoor netball courts and is specifically played in schools. Netball is most popularly played in Commonwealth nations. Karen Atkinson (netball)
Karen Helen Atkinson (née Aspinall; born 7 June 1978) is an English netball coach and former international netball player. Atkinson first represented England in netball in 1994, and was selected for the senior England team in 1997. During her international career, she has won bronze medals at three Commonwealth Games (1998, 2006 and 2010), as well as in the 1999 Netball World Championships. She also won silver with the England team at the 2010 World Netball Series in Liverpool. In domestic netball, Atkinson played for the Hertfordshire Mavericks in the Netball Superleague, after having played an initial season with the Loughborough Lightning. Kendra Slawinski
Kendra Slawinski, OBE (née Lowe) (born 11 November 1962) is a former netball player for England. She had been part of the England national netball team between 1987 and 1997. She has represented her country on 128 occasions. She is one of the few netball players that is featured in the Guinness Book of Records for being the most capped player both in England and Internationally. Geva Kate Mentor CBE (born 17 September 1984) is an England netball international. Tamsin Greenway (born 6 October 1982) is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. Eboni Beckford-Chambers
Eboni Usoro-Brown (; born 4 February 1988) is an English former netball player who played for England and for Queensland Firebirds in the position of defender as well as the goal keeper. She attended Gordon's School in Surrey from 2001 to 2004. Usoro-Brown graduated from the University of Bristol with an LLB Law degree in 2009, before completing the LLM degree in 2010 at the same Law School.
